CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Troy made Troy look like crap, this just put the nails in the coffin, and threw said coffin off the side of a huge cliff.

Ben Hur is an amazing movie. You cant compare the two because of the differance in time and technology.

Anyone agree with me, it made Troy look crap?!
I think Troy is a very good movie. It has great battles, and some very good dialog.
It falls short of Gladiators greatness, but still, I liked Troy a lot.
I might even like it more than 300.
300 is a great action movie, but it lacks dialog.
Some of the dialog is great, but most of it is flat, or just simply not enough.

I can't remember anything of Troy, even the battle sequences.
Speaks for it being incredibly boring.
Troy was horrid, don't ever see it.
Brad Pitt is a good actor, but he was so horrible miscast in this movie that it's not funny.

My teenage daughters both loved "300." I haven't seen it yet. I really enjoy Gerard Butler's acting....I just am not a big fan of violent films.
Troy...I love that movie! I thought the guy who played Hector (Eric Bana) was far superior to Brad Pitt's Achilles. I have to say though, the more times I have seen it, I like his acting more.
The theme song, "Remember" is so very beautiful. The first time I heard it, I was sitting there crying. It felt like Jesus singing the words.
