Yes it was. That's the point. Including Dionysius in the rendition is just further mockery. What an odd take, but ok.
If it included Dionysius, it would rather seem it wasn’t exactly a last supper rendition.

Probably, so the next Olympics will.have to go much more over the top to generate interest.People won't be talking about it in 6 months let alone the next Olympics.
Yeah, but maybe that is a good thing. Should we show children bananas? Most definitely not. The Olympics is an international event, so we must respect all cultures and keep the intro tame, as all the other Olympics were in the past. There is a reason why folks are fed up with the modern liberals nowadays, cos the liberal party in the US has moved far from what it used to be 25-50 years ago. I do not like the modern conservative party either. Both have become extreme over the past few years. So, we must come together, and keep things tamer here, and then people might treat each other with more respect, and earn my respect as well.American sensibilities in regards to nudity and sex are still in the dark ages.
Next summer Olympics will be in LA, California, so we know that the 2028 Olympics will be way over the top and cringe, cos it California. Beautiful state, though.Probably, so the next Olympics will.have to go much more over the top to generate interest.
Are you aware that the original Olympics were performed by completely naked male athletes, as a tribute to the gods.Olympic Opening Ceremony dude in jacket has his testes hung out. Pure evil stuff right here.
Plums at the Olympics (none shown in news article and are blurred, though topic is sensitive, age rating 18+):

True, but this is not 776 BC anymore my friend. And yes, it was sad how women were banned back then. Are you aware that the original Olympics were performed by completely naked male athletes, as a tribute to the gods.
Fortunately, in spite of the liberal dress code, they ran on good old conservative principles - women were banned.

Luke 17:2Well, maybe not that far, but at least put these offenders in prison or away from children.
In the original times there were no Christians and Jesus had not come. So when Christianity did influence the world that stopped, obviously. It started again now in a rebellion and defiance and hatred of God. They will soon learn what nations get when that happens. Are you aware that the original Olympics were performed by completely naked male athletes, as a tribute to the gods.

That exactly right and tests why the Kast Supper is so significant. Even Christ instituted the tradition of recognizing it's value in remembering him and what he was going to do.So Jesus didn't invent anything new in sitting down at a common table, taking bread and wine and sharing them with his disciples. What he did that was unique was the significance he assigned to them.
Christians will look at this and say, they are at it again. And move on while pointing out the blasphemy of it all.Charlie Hebdo would. Are you lamenting that Christians are not more prone to violence?
Yes, Islam is several hundred years behind Christianity on figuring out violence is a poor method of converting people to your way of thinking.Christians will look at this and say, they are at it again. And move on while pointing out the blasphemy of it all.
If they did that to Mohammed there would be a deadly reckoning.
Just pointing out tge differences in the two. And no are not to be like the Muslims.
They'd have to actually do something then, though. If only my fellow Christians cared more for the poor and marginalized, and less for pop culture and petty moralisms...
Is this a good moment to ask posters to get a sense of proportion? All this moralistic shrieking is becoming tedious. If only my fellow Christians cared more for the poor and marginalized, and less for pop culture and petty moralisms...
There were more people in the tableau than were in TLS painting, by a lot. Dionysius was featured. The Olympics have a connection to Greek mythology. Dionysius is the father of the Goddess of the Seine. The person who designed it has said his inspiration was a painting that, for all I know, is in Paris. TLS is art, not a religious document or a key element in Christianity. Getting upset it is being mocked is like being big mad that people picked on that dumb Mel Gibson movie.Yes it was. That's the point. Including Dionysius in the rendition is just further mockery.

Absolutely everyone needs to calm down. And if Olympic organizers find viewership is way down I hope they don't go home and kick their dogs. Not good for them to take out their frustrations on innocent parties. Maybe some good can come out of this though. Maybe future hosts cities will take from this and learn and ask do they really want high viewership of the Games? If not they can continue on. If they do well then they have come to see what they better not do.Seriously, people need to calm down.
Yeah sure. Just calmly go to your TV and click on national sports events and forget about the Olympics this year. Nice to honor your athletes when they come home though. They worked hard to get their medals. And if it is and it chooses staging a secular painting of a religious event at the Olympics as its “shots fired” action, seriously, you’re doing ok.
