There is no religious themed art in Islam so an equi is not even an option. Also, Chris was not insulted but many Christians took it upon themselves to be offended anyway.

Yeah, I have labeled Trump, Elon Musk, unbridled abortion, the far-left, the far-right, the 2024 Olympic opening ceremony, modern Halloween, Doctor Who's flop of a 2024 season and other things demonic before. Maybe, I could have used softer words, such as "uncalled for" or "unprecedented".

One might say, my centrist views are on a little bit of the stronger side, and I am working on toning this stuff down, and I pray to be less judgemental. The world is changing in a way that has not happened in my short 24 year lifetime though, and I am not liking what is going on. We need some more middle ground politics in 2024, and tamer entertainment like we did a few decades ago.

This however IS demonic. Anytime our Lord is.mocked it's satanic. People who mock the savior are following demonic behaviors whether they realize it or not.

Compair this opening ceremony to 2014 where ballet was featured. This ceremony was sick, twisted and demonic..

I don't think it is sad at all. The French are not sad about it. I have spent a good bit of time in France and have French friends. I think Catholicism has become something of an irrelevance to them.

Church buildings are often neglected with their little congregations struggling to keep them maintained. Even their great cathedrals suffer in this way. I don't quite see how the 50% Christian figure was calculated. It might be the figure the Catholic Church puts out - a wildly optimistic figure in my view.

Yeah I'm sure many of the French were.pretty ho hum about it.

But people forget that rhe Olympics are NOT a French thing. They are a world wide thing. And this ceremony was.a slap in the face to all kinds of places around the world. A mockery of God. The openly lgbtq aspect was an insult to the followers of Islam as well. I wonder why they didn't pretend they were gay Mohammed.

And here we have a dude with his ball hanging out. The government of France didn't authorize this, so we can't blame them. But whomever approved of this in the Olympics needs to be tossed.out on their rear ends and never be allowed anywhere near and public celebration or ceremonies again.

Well, Jill Biden on the left praised the event, Peter Sonski (my favorite candidate) in the center thought this was an "insulting display, worthy of rebuke", while Donald Trump on the right said the opening ceremony "was a disgrace". For once, I agree with Trump, even though I do not like Trump. Kamala Harris, the new potential runner for 2024 did not make any comments as of today.

Agreed. The 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 opening ceremonies were not demonic. But the 2024 one was. The 2020s is the decade of Satan in my opinion.

Wrong ! There most certainly is Islamic religious themed art. Just google it. I found Muhammad depicted with angels around him. This Olympic farce was absolutely offensive to the Christian community. Why is it that Christianity seems to bear the brunt of religious attacks?

Why is it not just another parody? Why are you so outraged at this one? It’s not even clear that this isn’t a direct depiction of Dionysus. There are many equivalent artworks of a feast with Dionysus at the center of a feast ( halo included). It seems that Da Vinci may have been painting an homage to a much older tradition.
