That's too funny!! Well, I'm a redhead and I play the piano, so naturally I had to take a pic. It's such a cute sign.

I was just looking at your photo of the "bean" and I just had to laugh at everyone surrounding it. "Dude! It's SO shiny!"

That could become the pothead mecca of the USA!

I know! ROFL! It's so shiny and warped like, that you almost start feeling whoozy as you look at it. Hahahaha.

Man, if I had a nickle for every time I got that reaction. lol. Anyways they are really cool. They are very mellow, yet very active at the same time. (Which is a lot like myself.) They like the're solitude, but every now and then they like a little attention from there owner. I always pull him out 15-20 mins everyday so that he can get out for a little while, and to make sure he doesn't feel alone. lol. Another thing is that there nocturnal, there for they love to be up at during the night. As soon as I go to bed, I can guarantee to be going to the sleep to the sounds of a rolling wheel. lol.

There is only a few things you have to get use to when you take one into care. Firstly, they have quils. You are destined to get poked by them at some point, that's just part of owning one. You don't have to worry about them shooting them out like a porcupine may, but there still don't feel good when you do get poked. You have to pick them up in a very special way. I generally try to slowly scoop my hands underneath him and pick him up from there, becouse his under belly is all fur. lol. When your handling them, you also need to try not to spook them. They don't like sudden movements, and they don't like loud noises. If you spook them, they will immdeatly curl up into a a complete spike ball, making it nearly impossible to pick them up. They also make this really funny nosie whenever they feel threatened. Its like a mixture of a hissing and really deep huffing and puffing noise. Its hard to explain.

He has been the single coolest pet I have ever owned. People would laugh if I told them what inspired me to get him though.

I don't think I could care for a pet like that... I wouldn't want to get pricked by his prickles lol. I'd be too tempted to squish him also!
