There is nothing in John 10:27 that says this opinion of yours. We KNOW who are qualified to be Jesus' sheep. That is found in v.9 - I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.Yes it is those who hear His voice and follow Him that are qualified as sheep.
Here, Jesus uses the metaphor of entering through a gate (Himself) for faith in who He is and what He has done for mankind individually.
OK.Hear means listen and obey.
Except you have no support from Scripture for your man made opinion. Those who listen for a while then begin to stray away, end up becoming lost.
In fact, Jesus refutes your man made opinion in v.28 - "and I give them eternal life and they shall never perish". Nothing about having to NOT stray away.
Your mixing of metaphors and contexts doesn't help you at all.His sheep who become lost, must repent, turn back to Him, are remain lost.
Those with spiritual discernment and can therefore rightly divide the word of truth, per 2 Tim 2:15, understand that James 5:19-20 is about saving a fellow believer from God's discipline of physical death.Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20

- A brother who wanders from the truth, is a sinner in need of repentance, or he will perish.
It's still amazing to me that anyone who has read John 10:28 STILL sees conditions for believers to meet in order to not perish.
How sad. But it is clear that your persistent resistance to the truth shows that you have become so hardened that you actually REFUSE TO BELIEVE what Jesus taught.
Oh, and you didn't bother to address my color coded points of explanation for both John10:27 and v.28. Why is that? Too difficult?
