The thing I'm counting on is the pillory effect. Once we get to even 1 million we will be getting 10 k a week in interest. The more we raise the less we'll need to put in each week to keep the momentum going. We'll see how it goes though. I'm not expecting anything--I was just making an Andy style prediction... because any time he tried that with the 1611 we broke it...

The 115k weekly figure takes account of the interest already going in. The interest isn't part of this. We would need 115k in actual donations if we were to get the 10C before the year was out.

I hear ya Tim, I hear ya.

But 5 million is a lot to think about.

The way I'm thinking is one commandment at a time.

OK, so we got the first half million, now lets go get the second, and make a full million.

Once we get there, we'll think about the next half million, and so on and so forth.

10 lots of 500k seems much easier to think about.

It's a bit like cricket. A cricketer goes out to bat, and he wants to make a hundred. But the way I was taught was, don't go out to make 100, go out to make ten. Then make another ten, then another, then another. small, achievable targets, and you soon get the big target.

So, I'm not even thinking abut when we'll get to 5 million. I'm thinking we should be looking for 1 million by the end of June, then set a target for the next 500k.

All I've done is give us a starting foundation, and I'd been puposely saving for that for the last few weeks of the Bible appeal while you guys were out there doing the hard work and putting the blessings in.

And this week I just used up the blessings I'd accumulated on the game.

And rememeber that you guys put well over 100k in during the 27 hours of the challenge.

You know the donations that mean the most to me?

People like higgs putting 500 in, because she's been out there on the forums posting hard to earn them.

And Lel, who worked hard with the armour sale to raise blessings.

And people coming in for the first time and leaving us 50 or 100, and you kow thats all theyv'e got.

The blessings we get from the game are priceless, and we wouldn't be where we are now without them, but lets never let us lose sight of the value of the smaller donations.

So enough already of this St Andy stuff. I'm just a number cruncher with too much time on my hands. It's an honour to be allowed to co ordinate the fund and manage the day to day running. I'm getting far more benefit from this than the fund is.
