Who do dispensationalists believe the 144000 in Revelation are?
Do you believe they are the only ones going to heaven? We believe they are 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. Why do we believe this? Because that is what the Bible explicitly says in revelation 7:4-8.
Do you believe they are the only ones going to heaven?
Of course not. This passage says nothing about going to heaven. It is speaking of those Israelites on earth that will be preserved through Daniel's seventieth week.
The 144,000 are mentioned twice in the Revelation. The first time they are seen being prepared for the coming time of testing. The four winds of God are held by four angels until until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.I don't understand.![]()

The 144000 is a symbolical number repesenative of all of Gods, Israel ! It give us to know that He has saved them all, and hath lost nothing.
Then all of God's Israel are male virgins also. This means no women - sorry girls they have said you can't be saved. The 144000 is a symbolical number repesenative of all of Gods, Israel ! It give us to know that He has saved them all, and hath lost nothing.

I guess you never saw Yentl. It works both way though. They have to be pure decendants of Abraham and Sarah. Then all of God's Israel are male virgins also. This means no women - sorry girls they have said you can't be saved.
The 144000 are spiritually all the Children God gave to Jesus Christ, who is Israel.
It is written of Jesus Christ heb 2:
11For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
It is written of Jacob, who Is Israel gen 33:5
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.
The 144000 is the whole of the election of Grace..
This doesn't even begin to explain why Rev 7:5-8 specifically names each one of the twelve tribes, and says there will be twelve thousand from each of these twelve tribes.
Yes it does, The Children of Israel [ Jesus] will be comprised of those out of every nation, and tongue..
Just as it was promised Abraham.
Gen 17:5
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
rev 7:
9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Now, Are those of Rev 7:9 the Children of Abraham promised Him in Gen 17 5 ?
Are the Twelve Tribes Children of Abraham ?
You are talking nonsense.
Biblewriter has many good points about the 144000, you should all look over the things he wrote again, they are rather accurate. I would only add that these are "elite" members from those tribes who are specifically grouped ahead of the rest. You can just read Rev 7 and totally understand who these people are, then read Daniel 7 and understand the role they are designated for. It seems from Daniel we know they are to be involved with the Judgement of others to decide who is a part of his Kingdom. All of you who mentioned heaven in this thread need to read your Bibles more closely and realize that all we know about heaven is very limited, and surely we do not see anywhere in scripture that heaven is where we go if we are judged faithful.
