I tried to learn Russian a while back, but I got too frustrated with it and it's 6 cases. But, as of recently, I've decided to take it back up again.

I have a language question: how do you know which case the object of a verb takes? Is there a way to tell, or do you have to look it up? If you have to look it up, does anybody know a site online where it tells which verbs require which case?

Christianmonkey: I'm glad you decided to take up another language again that's a really good idea if you want to be successful in business and such! Keep it up, and don't quit... I am learning Spanish as a third language, so I sympathise with you, in a way

As for your other question, I'm sorry to say I have no idea... you know, when you've spoken the language your whole lfe, for me, at least, I don't go by rules, just by what sounds right... anyways, keep learning, and God bless you! -Larisa

Very nice to meet you as well. Yes, I do speak russian. About the education: engineering degree and a music school. Education was very good in Russia, at least then.

No, I never went back and do not want to go back. I was blessed that my whole immediate family emigrated together. Besides, the United States is MY country now.

ну вот и встретились товарищи по несчастью
у меня ситуация вообще-то запутанная в конец, кажется предки по отцу были украинцы. их раскулачили и вывезли в сибирь
история похлеще чем у робинзона крузе.
в начале осени с минимальным количеством припасов и инструментов высадили на берег оби из баржи и уплыли. выживайте мол, осваивайте новые земли.
выжили.
