Your tubular is looking more like a "horned crowbar" to me, Cygnus!!!

(Only kidding!!!)

I wish I could use a crowbar now, to our servicer now at times for what they did to hood-winked us into the cost of insuring our protection again pop-ups and spybots that clog up our computer and its speed...The faster the DSL service they offer...the more they seem to be a front for more pop-up advertisements and for the cost and the expenses to remove them---for their kind of a faster computer...I get limited time now on the computer for the faster service they gave me...

Right!! Brilliant, Cygnus. :D

Cygnus, I just read your new bit on your sig and I can't help wondering..........if your CDs are hidden all round the house, how long does it take you to find the one you want? Or is it a carefully planned exercise, the key of which only you know about?

Sometimes I feel like hiding one or two of my CDs as some of my kids listen to them and they can be a bit careless with them, just leaving them lying around wherever, when they've finished with them.

Hello again, Cygnus :)

Talking of things which are hidden from us brought to mind the way the disciples asked Jesus what they must do to do the work of God and Jesus told them to believe in the one He has sent.

Then they asked what miraculous signs Jesus would give, so they could see and believe Him..........Then these verses from John 6: 35-40..........

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All that the Father gives to me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." (italics mine)

Tons of stuff here, isn't there, Cygnus? The assurance in italics is what leaps out at me. And the fact that Jesus was right in front of the disciples, walking with them and teaching them, yet He had to say to them, "still you do not believe."

What are your thoughts on these verses, Cygnus? :)

I love these passages of Corinthians. I don't know if this somehow ties together somehow:
[bible]2 Corinthians 6:4-10[/bible]
"...with weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left..."
[bible]2 Corinthians 4:7-11[/bible]

Is it true that Scots can't outdrink the Irish? (of Irish descent, myself)

It would be too difficult to say if the Scots can outdrink the Irish , somehow I doubt it , but I do think the Scots could out fight the Irish though ;)

2 Corinthians 6:4-104 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; 6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; 9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
"...with weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left..."
2 Corinthians 4:7-117 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Hi sister freespirit , the thing that ties these texts together is one word , persecution .
It is bad to be persecuted for robbing a bank , for stealing a car , for insulting a person , ahhhhhhhhhhhhh but persecution for Jesus name is a priviledge . ;)
