I have two pictures engraved on blackbord type card in this room I am sitting in ........ One of John Calvin and the other of Augustine ..... yes I am an Augustinian

here are the 2 pics I have framed , they were copied for me on blackboard material using a sharp implment to leave the drawings white ,,,,, like chalk carvings , I am not sure what the artists method is called , but a close friend did them for me as a gift!

yes I would say anything can freeze given the right conditions , even the sun , but then it wouldn't be much good to us then ..........

Hi JS , yes I love those 2 pics , and am pleased to find the on line , I could have picked other pics of Augustine and John Calvin for my friend to copy for me , but I was partricularly keen on finding them both with theological books in their grasp ..... because of their influence on me and christendom .......

I am no artist but I do like fine art , I am not really much into abstract art ..... I am as fussy over my art as over my music ....... it has to catch me as something rich or different or telling me a story ........

I bought it in a junk shop !!

I have a rare picture hanging up in this room , it is a famous picture depicting the Reformation in England when The Bible was chained by Royal command to every Church in the land in ENGLISH ........ not in a foreign tongue like latin ..... so it is poignant ..... a friend of mine who is a History teacher popped round one day and gave me a list of the people in the picture ....... that was so neat! ......... I bought it in a junk shop !!
