1000 Years Here Or There

Revelation20:7-9; " And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to decieve the nations which are in the four quarters ( of the earth), Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And they went up on the breadth ( of the earth), and compassed about the ( camp of the saints) about, and the beloved city: and fire ( came down) from God ( out of heaven), and destroyed them.

You left out verse 5...

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.

This is the resurrection of the wicked and whom satan will deceive one last time to attack New Jeruselem...

The question at hand is the 1000 years, here or there?

The scriptures are clear and simple. Those redeemed by the blood, who have been made kings and priests unto their God, they serve on the earth.

Form of doctrine is good. It brings the necessary elementary experience in Jesus in faith and love. When it denies the power of God to save from sins, then we must turn away. The power of the resurrection does wash us in the water of regeneration and cleanse us from the sins of which we have previously been forgiven.

When we are not cleansed from our sins, then our good beginning corrupts and iniquity enters our hearts. Yet, in our spiritual frustration, we will continue promoting the elementary form of doctrine with even greater zeal.

It is good to be zealous, but too much zeal can not give the witness to the dead body. Remember the runner, Ahimaaz. He could not tell king David the full story of the dead body of Abasalom. He over rejoiced to tell David about the victory.

Those who teach to disregard [and thus transgress] the Ten Commandments [or any single part of them] are the ones who are "servants of sin" [Romans 6:17]. They are not free, not at "liberty".

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:16

We serve either CHRIST JESUS:

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

"And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." Exodus 20:6

or we are serving Satan:

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:2

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

As for "doctrine":

All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Titus 2:7

Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. Titus 2:10

For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. Proverbs 4:2

The Power of Godliness is a changed heart to obey GOD in HIS Commandments.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 1 John 5:2

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3

"Having a form of Godliness", are those preaching the texts, the mere words of scripture, thinking that they have doctrine, when in fact they do not obey GOD in HIS Commandments and are as Pharisees which "say" and "do not" HIS Commandments.

Those who seek to abrogate any aspect of the Ten Commandments do not understand them, nor the PERSON who Commanded them.

The power of the Resurrection means to be dead to sin [transgression of the law; 1 John 3:4], to live a life of obedience to GOD and HIS Commandments. HE is the KING of HIS Kingdom, and HIS Kingdom has a Law.

The 1000 Years will be "in Heaven" as many texts have revealed. The first part of Revelation 20 is directly linked to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; by the "first resurrection"; etc. The Saints do not inherit this sin polluted earth, but rather we shall inherit the "earth made new". That event does not take place until after the 1000 years is expired and sin and sinners are forever destroyed.
