Is trutherAU "on a mission from God?" ;)

I like your take, except I had no idea AU was in any way like that. We sure have some awesome Aussies on CF!

Here in the States, a "truther" is someone who considers 911 an inside job. Any connection to your username?

Well if the mainstream christians are any thing like yourself then i would assume they would like revelations cut from the bible completely or they simply choose to ignore it as allegory.
How on earth did you equate ''rejecting pagan 2012 Mayan calendar doomsday '' with "rejecting bible/biblical prophecy literally''?
However seems today there is no difference a christian is in love with the world as much as any secularist or atheist.
Evidence please that ''real'' christians have the same attitudes as atheists and secularists.
So why be a christian what does it have to offer if one can love the world without beliving in ancient judeo myths and fairy tales. Simple"nothing to offer" the view of the op is the best advert for atheists there is!.
How did you jump from statistics for 2012 doomsday believers to excuses commonly made by atheists? If you want to start your own topic on that matter then please do.

Its interesting though highly speculative.
I havnt researched anything about it.

You can see it right from my bedroom window, but no official recognition. Inuit see it far more readily, and have youtube posts. Where it's most apparent is at the South pole, (you know, Gov't outposts) and the days there's supposed to be no sun (and vice versa) is all out of whack.

Why no official word?

Both are prophecies both have similarities in fact all prophecies have similarities. If the mayan calender had never been discovered pple would still be into prophetic predictions, so it has nothing to do with the mayan calender specfically, atleast for christians it has everything to do with revelations although clearly as you have demonstrated revelations is not important to pm christians.

First hand experience i have been to several different denoms &churches including a baptist theological college i have met the same attitude at all of them.

Strangely we have been getting a lot of tropical fish caught in our normally temperate waters, that and we use to enjoy strong sea breezes that have somewhat diminished. Interesting.

You dont think that that is a fairly broad stroke of the brush, not bothered with alienating everybody.

Gods grace, not yours.

In my case there is no one to alienate I am 37 year old single male i am well beyond that kind of patronisation.
I have no wish to associate with so called christians. In my view faith or beliefs should be a private matter for example one can keep a philosophy to themsleves without bothering anyone else with it, so why cant a christian do same.
Religion is social control system, whereas personal faith or belief is just that personal it does not impinge on others.
Kierkgaard is the only christian figure in history i have come across whom seems to understand this most christians whether ordained or flock seem to think religion is simply about social control on behalf of Governments and parental figures.

I never said anything about Gods Grace, however an opinion is permissible to god without playing god.

Kierkgaard above Jesus himself. What no 12 apostles, no people to serve or be served by. No one to bless.
Good luck with that.
The hypocrisy of your accusations are surreal, just by and by what are you in this community for?

ALL prophecies are similar? Have you ever heard of pagan prophecies being clearly fulfilled like the biblical prophecies e.g.
http://www.konig.org/messianic.htm

There will always be fakes amongst the genuine christians at church. Matthew 13:24-30

Huh i love the way you try to twist things, I never claimed anything of the sort.
By the way is it completely questionable whether jesus intended to found a religion, he was simply more like ancient sage type figure.
He was also a radical of sorts i strongly doubt he intended to start a social control system rather his aims a modest case of personal faith & code of ethics to live by which i have claimed nothing less or more.
Seems you cant see the forest from the trees if you think religion = personal faith =religion not so, although I am sure official religious figures would have you believe that however who cares as jesus was no fan of official religious figures in his time either!.

Good luck with that.
Indeed I am happier than others whom let others do their thinking for them!.Clearly you are not promoter of individual freedom however you have often put on that kind of charade here.

On the contrary i think your twisting and turning is surreal you claim to think outside the matrix prison of religion however at other times your promoting just how enslaved by it you think others should be you lack consistency either that or some of your posts are all just an act!.

just by and by what are you in this community for?

Messianic Bible prophecy involving Jesus Christ
Well thats mute point since you claimed carte blanche that you thought all prophecy, christian, pagan or kaluthumpian were absurd, and that all those that actually heeded their warnings were fools!.

There will always be fakes amongst the genuine christians at church. Matthew 13:24-30
Well i tend to count as fakes those that like to alter the bible by picking and choosing which gospels they choose as legit &those they try to igonre or omit just as you have like many other pm christians have chosen to omit and ignore revelations by ridiculing those that actually have heeded the warnings as pertaining to recent 21st CE events!.

What community?

No I dont promote individual freedom. I preach the Gospel that is freedom in Christ. Jesus did intended to found a religion, faith, movement, choose what best suits. Everybody is individual and tends to be drawn to what best suits them.
Jesus called 12 people to train so they could train more. Jesus also called us to grow in to community's so we could encourage and shoulder each others burden, and keep our witness and understanding of the Word sharp.

Yours seems to be a message of self, Jesus was not self, He can be accused of many things but never self.
Jesus didnt come to cast out demons or heal the sick, Jesus came to preach the Gospel. You dont imitate that.
Jesus didnt come to set up a social control system. Jesus gave us a social control system in the Holy Spirit. The first system in the covenant with Moses failed. Responsibility scary isnt it?

And Truther I wasnt twisting anything, "the statement" was a question.

The matrix? Who cares about your matrix, I have God within me through the Holy Spirit. Your matrix has no value at all. Smoke and mirrors magik, Jesus on the cross said "It is finished"...Job done.
We are in the world, we cant get out of it till Christ's return, to suggest otherwise is delusional.

Even if it were the end of the world, who cares?

It's not like we can do anything about it. And even if it came, if we were living a fulfilling life of doing our best, practising compassion to our fellow man, fairness and love to our loved ones, friends and the people around us, as well as striving to reflect and seek the truth of our existence instead of numbly living life with no purpose...we'd die without regrets.

I for one don't believe its gonna be the end of the world anytime too soon, but if it comes, it comes. I can't say I won't change a thing, but I would have little regret.

No point worrying or "believing" in the coming of the end of the world.

No my point regarding this response was the point that cc is hardly a community except in the most superficial sense!.
There are many different types of posters on cc many are atheists, agnostics, humanists, pagans and further some are christians yet homosexuals etc as you should well know by now. You cant build any sense of community based this kind of extremely diverse forum. The only God of cc is $$ hence all the advertising. It is just forum after all!.

Yes you do live in a matrix because all your interests are material.
For example there is no spirituality in christianity i doubt there ever really has been. Spirituality explained by average christians is weak to say the least i doubt most average pm christians could even explain to me the concept of metaphysics or the difference between esoteric/exoteric.

If they can they maybe on their way to understanding the concept of spirit however most are completely materialistic in psych outlook and wouldnt have a clue. I think the Holy spirit departed christianity a long time ago most likely when the Roman Catholics purged the cathars from their ranks.
