I personally think its better to have religion in this world regardless of what people think about it good or bad - it just seems to add so much more colour in this world, and shows everyone else how inspired, good or bad, humans can be by an idea/ideas.
Indeed I am all for kookyness( this means eccentricity to me btw) bring it on. If somenone with a narrow minded or conventional view of things calls me kooky its like a badge of honour!
Thats exactly why i defend the right of christians and non christians to believe in all the Prophecy and kooky end times theories they wish because many have some basis in fact!.
I despise the materialist view which states we will live on this earth a another thousand years without any retribution from God i dont see this as likely there will be consquences for mankind departing God and following Lucifer. The Illuminati the minions of satan will be facing the most punishment of all aiding and abetting the antichrist.

I hope the world ends this year
Amen to that, bring it on i say, seems we finally agree on something

One of the greatest joys of Christianity is diversity. Another is the different stages of maturity in the Christian walk, we are all different, yet all created by God. Christians seem more judgemental and beligrent toward each other than those in the world.
Its a sad broken world with sad broken people.
I hope the world ends this year.

I answered evey question you asked, now I am bored so I am moving on. Call it running away if you choose. I dont mind

I agree with you about the diversity.

But I disagree with you on Christians being more judgemental and belligerent.

Having lived in Muslim, Buddhist and Christian based communities, as well as mixed with ALOT of atheists and agnostics I can tell you pretty much spreads similar with other religions (or lack of it).

When you have a large group of people from various cultures, upbringings, viewpoints, and personalities try to adhere to a set of beliefs - differences happen, disagreements occur, siege mentalities develop.

We humans tend to band together, single out differences even if we are within the same group (example, Christians will shun certain Christians with different viewpoints. Sunni Muslims hate Shias, etc) and this has always been so in human society.

Its sad that Christians do it too...I used to think its a broken world too - but when you read about the histories of the past, read about other religions, expose yourself to new ideas - you realise sometimes how good we have it, people of today.

We in the West tend to think our lives are terrible and the world as we know it (the "west") is full of crappy people who are mean, empty, ignorant, etc etc - but its really not true.

Spend a couple of years living overseas as a local in Asia and I guarantee you that you will realise at least 1/2 the problems and existentialist misery are literally self-inflicted and we are in control, we can do something about it.

Atheists, agnostics, free-thinkers, Christians, Muslims, etc - everyone of these people have something we can learn from, something we can teach to them from our experiences and trust me it wouldn't be much fun if the world were a perfect place.

Be positive! :)

The world is broken spiritually, its more our relationship with God I was talking about.

Another sad thing is most Christians are far more judgemental than atheists/pagans here in the West. I was talking locally, I dont know the international scene.
As for learning from them, no thanks with respect.
Christs message was unique, anything they have that is valid would have come from Christ and they try claim it as theirs.
As for fun when the world IS perfect, trust Jesus it will be perfect. It will be unbelievable, fun will be a shadow. Eden and so much more.

I am positive I am hanging for Christs return, it will be perfect. This world has nothing comparable. Till then I eagerly await my saviour and His promise.

You do realise that a majority of pple find all religion kooky period.
So i assume you think this means some christians are somehow innocent of kookyness i doubt it, i think you need a wake up call.

firstly, i find it interesting you would say this, as your icon shows you are a christian. and if you are, you would know there is nothing kooky about the scripture, as it is the word of God, hence there is nothing kooky about believing in the truth.

however, i do accept that many non believers do perceive us as kooky, and that is ok, i am not offended to the slightest, as they are perfectly entitled to their opinions. and let face it, before i came to know the truth, i used to think christians are kooky as well.

btw i apologise for that kooky comment, i didnt actually meant it in a insulting sense.

Well Grace51 it is amazing - I actually agree with you for once.

And yes I will call you to question on doctrines - you should do no less. I expect to be taken to task for what I believe and I'm expected to respond.

May the Lord bless you.

The Mayans did not predict the END OF THE WORLD as in the world will blow up or something, yet they predicted the end of this world as we know it and a transformation into a new world or new age if you will. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS IF the Illuminati keep to their rituals (which they will) the 2012 Olympic will be VERY shocking and have something new in store for everyone, the Illuminati will try and fit it in with the 2012 Mayan predictions of a new age - it is no NO NO coincidence that the Olympics this year is being held in the home of Freemasonary "Mother England".

The end of days is coming, but Christmas is not

Wish the article showed the ''run for the hills'' people's religious beliefs. What is even more worrying is that the ''yes'' vote for the online poll is currently at 13%!!!!! Are lefties more gullible?
the article would suggest people on both ends of the scale. It mentioned christian fundamentalists who tend to be right wing (like you!;)) as well as enviromentalists who traditionally have been called lefties but that is no longer accurate.

Of course according to other predictions the world should have already ended this year at an earlier date. There was something like 6 different end of the world dates this year alone making it a very popular choice.

Hey! I am a VERY reluctant right-w(h)inger now thankyou very much. :p
If Labor divorces the Greens and PC idealists who love every minority group but Christians .....
ah yes the anti-christian greens who say that if christian groups receive government money then just like every other group already does they too should be accountable as to how they sell that money and also follow existing rules like not teach religion. If they don't want to do that they can opt out of receiving government money. See equal treatment is not anti-christian in my opinion. The above is why christian schools have are anti-greens.

i'll give anyone who thinks the world is going to end $1 on $100. they can have my money now, and i'll have nothing until Jan 2013, when I get their money. so if they are right then they get money to spend now, and i get nothing. but if i'm right, i get all their money.

put up or shut up.
