“The Lost”

In Scripture the term “lost” when pertaining to people is always used for those who will be saved (Mat 10:6; 15:24; Mat 18:11; Luk 19:10). Thus those who will never be saved are not the lost but just unbelievers, because their names aren’t in the “Book of Life,” as God knows they will never choose to be right with Him. These are those whom are “condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (Jhn 3:18). This is the group of people that God knows will never believe in the Lord Jesus!

Most sadly though, the unsaved will involve the majority of mankind (Mat 7:13, 14)! Even though the saved will involve “a great multitude, which no man could number” (Rev 7:9), they will be “few” in comparison to the number of those who will perish!

Of course God knew this would be the way all would turn out, but created knowing there would be those who will choose Him; for all the hosts of heaven rejoices over even “one sinner that repents” (Luk 15:10).

We continue to attempt to reach others, but we are to know that there will be only a few that can be won, so most will not listen much to you. The group of people whose names are in the Book of Life will be looking and listening for the Word of the Gospel. Of course we can’t know who they are until evidence manifests them, so we attempt to reach as many as possible, as God leads us to them!

God doesn’t make people to go to hell. Everybody gets chances. You are wrong about the first scripture links. Israel is not saved only a few, and all the past generations were not saved, only a few. All Israel will get saved but that is only a remnant at the end. God knows but He will open the door to anyone. You don’t know. Don’t judge before the time.

True, nobody can know who will be saved, but Christ said most will go into the lake of Fire. He allows everyone to choose Him, but He knows most will not desire to believe in Him. I think you misunderstood the post, but that's ok; and thanks for the reply!

Yes there is a book of life and many many more books like the Lambs book Once your in that.. there is no "blotted out" scripture. I think maybe your looking at this wrong. Flip it. We are in for a shock at who is in heaven. Its the heart your not seeing

Like what you said, but looks like we differ in our understanding. I believe there is only one Book of life, but multiple books containing everything unbelievers. This answers to the singular use of the phrase "and another Book was open, which is the Book of Life" (Rev 20:12).

The "many" books are those containing all that the unbelievers did:

"And the books were opened"; the book of God's omniscience, which contains all the actions of the wicked, in which all their sins are taken notice of, and will now be brought to light; and the book of his remembrance, in which they are all written as with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond; and the book of the creatures, which they have abused, and which will witness against them; and the book of providence, the riches of whose goodness have been despised by them; and the book of the Scriptures, both of law and Gospel, as well as the book of nature, of the light of nature, see Romans 2:12 to which may be added, the book of conscience; the consciences of men will be awakened, and will accuse them, and bear witness against them, and be as good as a thousand witnesses" (John Gill - 1697-1771).
