  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Glorious Grace

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as...

    Give Me Jesus

“What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask...

    Give Me Courage, Lord

I believe that one of Satan’s greatest weapons against us is his lies and deceptions. And I am speaking here of those of us who have surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ to do his will, who have died to sin, and who are living to God. Through the use of lies and deceptions, Satan’s objective is...

    Give God the Glory

From the very beginning of creation God has put within mankind the knowledge of God. God made himself known through his created works. When we look at the sun, the moon, the stars, the heavens above us, the trees, flowers, birds of the air, the sea, and man, we can see God, not that God exists...

    Give Ear to Jesus

When we are born into this world, we are born with sin natures, without God, without hope, and destined to spend eternity in hell. God loved us so much, though, that he sent his only begotten Son into the world that whoever believes in him should not perish but should have everlasting life with...

    Gift of God

The Bible teaches us that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is God’s gift to us. He is the Gift of God. All else flows from Him. God the Father sent him to die on a...

    Fully Ready

The apostle Paul said that he was compelled by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, not knowing what would happen to him there. He said, “I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to...

    Full Release

Have you received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life? What took place when this happened? Did your life change? Did it change radically or just a little bit? Did you leave your old life of sin behind you, and now, by God’s grace, you are living by and walking by the Spirit of God? Or...

    Forever With Us

While we live on the face of this earth, we will have troubles, hardships and trials. As followers of Jesus Christ, we have an arch enemy in Satan, who is out to destroy the church. So, we should expect that we will be hated, persecuted, despised and rejected of humankind. Although Satan is our...

    For the One I Love

I was inspired by the passage I read for my quiet time from Isaiah 5, which begins by Isaiah saying, "I will sing for the one I love a song about his vineyard..." I sensed the Lord had a song for me based off of that song, only about Jesus Christ and what he did for us. So, I asked him, and he...

    Follow Him

Jesus said that if anyone would come after him, i.e. if he would be one of his followers, he (or she) must first of all deny (disallow; repudiate; forbid) himself, i.e. renounce his life of sin, of selfishness, and of following his own will and way for his life. He must take up his cross daily...

    Fit for Service

Holy Spirit, come within us. Cleanse our hearts, and from sin free us. Make us holy vessels fit for service to the King. Fill us with Your love and power. Anoint us within this hour To be living witnesses For Jesus Christ, our King. Our praise to Him bring. Father God, our heart’s desire...

    Fear Not, Little Flock

"And he said to his disciples, 'Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor...

    Courageous!

Jesus Christ, God the Son, came to earth, took on human flesh, suffered as we suffer, and was tempted as we are tempted, yet without sin. He was despised and rejected of humankind, a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering. He was crucified on a cross, although he had done no wrong. Yet, he...

    Come and See

The Lord Jesus led me to read John 1:35-51 (multiple versions). What I see at work here is that God revealed Jesus to John, John then revealed Jesus to his disciples, and two of them followed him. One of the two immediately told his brother, who he then brought to Jesus. Jesus found Philip and...

    Broken and Contrite

When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.” And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the...

    Blessed Are You

“And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: ‘Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. ‘Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. ‘Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. ‘Blessed are you when people hate you and when they...

    Every Morning You Greet Me

Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, Every morning you greet me. Meek and pure, truth and light, You look pleased now to meet me. Flourishing, growing in Him each day, Live with Him forever. Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, Blessed to know Him forever. Based off the song “Edelweiss” Caution: This link...

    Believe Him

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV). Sometimes in life we have questions for which we don’t have answers. Sometimes we pray and we can’t hear God...

    Arise and Shine

This song is a call to arise (get up; stand up), be steadfast and persistent, and to let our lights (Jesus Christ; our salvation; the gospel; purity; and truth) shine forth from us, so that those outside of faith in Jesus Christ may come to him, to know his saving grace. We may need this call...
