  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Prosperity Theology

Prosperity theology suggests that the Christian lifestyle will make you more healthy, wealthy and happy. Focusing on the wealth side of things I asked ChatGPT to work through all the most reliable sources like PEW Research and Credit Suisse's global wealth survey to create the following table. I...

    A healthy, biblical prosperity theology

I recently read Frank D. Macchia on there being a valid prosperity theology- https://enrichmentjournal.ag.org/Issues/2015/Winter-2015/The-Prosperity-Gospel-A-Biblical-Evaluation Or on YouTube: Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to expound much further nor give any clues as to where to go for...

    Prosperity Gospel

The prosperity gospel is wrong. Jesus instructs us to pick up our crosses daily, not make bank. How many people could the mega rich feed and put through school if they didn’t have private jets and yachts? But instead there are Christians who pursue wealth for for their entire lives, and it’s a...

    Cut the Extra-Biblical Tie

Pentecostalism and prosperity. All Pentecostals should at some point come to a welcomed understanding of prosperity as defined in the Bible. In addition, they should also be aware of a massive hissing undercurrent among many un-affiliated churchgoing folk - the incessant taunting remarks they...

    SOCIALISM FOR-BIDEN

The History of Socialism's Failures is paramount in spite of its deceptive appeal. I think that it finds its remarkable appeal to those in our country today due to an exponential increase of a sense of ENTITLEMENT. Even the Democrats elected a renowned President who is widely known for this...

What are the prosperity gospel's thoughts on Job, Jeremiah, and the Apostle Paul?

According to them they say that Prosperity & Health means you are in correct with God. I am curious as to what they think of Job, patience in suffering. Jeremiah the weeping prophet, and Paul who changed his ways only to receive beatings and persecution.

Identifying the Problem with our Interpretation Processes, and Offering a Solution

The primary problem with the way most Christians interpret the Bible, is that often, the final deciding factor in what causes them to accept one doctrine, and reject another, exists outside of the Bible, internally, within themselves. And as long as your process is internal, it isn't objective...

Wife/Mom/Daughter Devotions: "Who Qualifies To Teach Me The Word?"

2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." God did not give us His Word so that we...
