  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Struggling to Love God

Hey, everyone-- First time posting, and I'm a bit nervous. I was raised in a Christian household and have gone to church most of my life. Now that I'm a young adult, I've become more evaluative of my place in the faith. Lifelong struggles with anxiety and insecurity have made this somewhat...

    Legalism And Christian Living

Over the years, the term legalism or being legalistic has been widely used to describe strict guidance and practices in the name of Christ. Hence, to understand what is meant by the term legalism we should begin with a basic definition. Legalism: Strict, literal, or excessive conformity to the...

    Slave or Free?

“Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law?” Galatians 4:21 ESV What “law” is being referred to here? Context is everything when interpreting what is meant by “the law.” For, the context reveals that this is speaking about the Old Covenant ceremonial and...

    Are You Being Tested?

Today I am reading in Deuteronomy 13, which is in the Old Testament of the Bible, and which is a teaching under the Old Covenant Relationship God had with his people at that time. So, not all of this is going to apply to us, the church, today. Yet, some of this is repeated in the New Testament...

Are We Judging Or Loving One Another?

For the true Christian, those who are spiritually reborn into the body of Christ, life on this world will be a challenge. Jesus said, "If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are...

Religious background issues. (BIO) - Need prayer.

It's really odd how despite the fact that I believe salvation comes through God alone through Jesus Christ regardless of our spiritual and mental state, I still feel as if my salvation hangs by the 'weights and balances' of what I do with my life. Am I being slothful sitting here on my PC while...

    It’s discipline not rules

For some time now I had no idea that the relationship between me and Jesus gradually changed from love to a legalistic commitment. More than likely it started after the constant frustration with my life feeling stagnant. I started to notice that my passion for the word was not up to par. I tried...

    In This Way

Philippians 3:17-21; 4:1 NASB Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is...

Dealing with Objectors to the Ten Commandments of God

Just because someone emphasizes the importance of keeping the Ten Commandments of God, it doesn't mean he or she is in bondage to a salvation by works theology. The nonsense of accusing people of being legalistic for being in favor of keeping God's Ten Commandments, needs to stop. Instead of...
