  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

  1. Step Eleven – Your Place In The Body Of Christ

Step Eleven – Your Place In The Body Of Christ

A disdain for organized religion has many Christians struggling to work out their faith in isolation. This is a bad idea and not what God wants. Believers are all part of the body of Christ and need to be working together to each do their part. If you are not interacting with other believers...
  2. Step Nine – Life Is Suffering

Step Nine – Life Is Suffering

There is a myth that Christians should have perfect lives and if they don’t, then they must not truly be connected to God. The truth is, God wants our lives to be challenging so that we can grow in strength and wisdom. There is no substitute for hard work and there is no hard work if you are...
  3. Step Four - I Need God

Step Four - I Need God

It is obvious that we need God in our walk with Jesus. In this step, my goal was to outline specific reasons for needing God. I think God wants our desire for a relationship with Him to be focused. If we know exactly what it is we’re seeking from God, it is far more likely we will be able to...

Should a Christian Join the Army?

Good day all! As some of you who see this may know, I am still new to Christianity and still have a lot of questions so please bear with me. But before I began to accept God and Christ more and more into my life, I was dead set on becoming an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. More...

What is the Point of Prayer?

A little story before getting to the meat of my question. I've been taking care of my grandmother for the past several years. This is because as time has gone by, her dementia as steadily gotten worse to the point that she rarely, if ever, recognizes she's at home. One thing she does...

The river of Jordan, War in the middle east and the mind of men

Hi, Brothers and sisters! I am new in Christ and while reading the Gospel, I became curious about the river of Jordan after seeing it on a map in my Bible and noticing that it was in the middle east. I noticed that the river has been polluted with sewage regardless of it's holiness and...

Is it wrong to sometimes not be able to live solely for God?

Hi, I know that God promises us our future spouses, and that almost everyone has one predestined (if you disagree then keep it to yourselves, it's not the point of this thread whether spouses are predetermined or not). Although I have friends, sometimes I can't help but feel lonely and instead...

The Deep Roots of the Great Commission

Do we understand how truly great the Great Commission is? The Great Commission is not a new idea which springs up suddenly in the New Testament like spring flowers with shallow roots. No, the Great Commission has deep roots, strong roots. These roots reach down through the prophets and the...

    God's Plan for me ...

I am new to this site and wasn't sure where to post my question. Although I have always believed in God I am new to Christianity. Long story short I am confused if what I think is God's plan for me and my BF? or if I'm just grasping at straws. This man has literally been in love with me since...

    God's plan for humanity

Yesterday I was having a discussion with a christian friend about god's plan for humanity. Basically, my friend said that god didn't have a premeditated plan for us, since he gave us the right to free will. He also said that God didn't intend for the world to have developed into what it is...
