Highly Sensitive and can no longer enjoy video games and tv

Doesnt seem like it would be an impossible thing to put together.....we are all but doing that very thing here.

Ya i guess my hunger is for the ability to enjoy some kind of objective based activity to build teamwork while being Christian, and my inability to play video games has made that impossible now

Getting away from that which unsettles you, is good. Long ago I too got away from games, it was getting to where it's nothing but gore, shooting and brutal murders.

I lost my love for chess, it's really fun. But my mind is tired easily.

Maybe subscribe to some online newspapers? Or there's free papers online (app called news reader) might help alliviate boredom.

I actually have found a lot of fun in hobbies and my most fun thing to do is talk to people online

like here and Reddit called r/TrueChristian.

I also play the piano and play very simple games online like from 2010 little motocross games nothing fancy and only for 10 minutes at a time. I am starting to do surveys for money online, swagbucks is a waste of time but i just recently tried to sign up for Mturk on amazon and will try that once Sunday is over ( i do not work or buy things on Sundays).

Ya been reading more lately and that definitely helps, also did arts and crafts as well but found that everything I drew or made had an affect some positive some negative so I limit what I draw unless I want something. It's hard to explain but I need to get better at drawing

I hear you. Gaming cant be the only such activity, we are just unable to see that which we have never been aware of. Of course, if it is not of God then we are just trading one vice for another.....

Lol, welcome to my world! I almost remembered that I forgot that I almost remembered. As I get older I find my thoughts so scattered I cant even follow a thread of thought sometimes as I forget whre I was going mid sentence. Awkward to say the least.

true. I guess I just yearn for Heaven where people can fly and build and fellowship and read and explore space and talk to saints and fellowship with Jesus and rest and eat good food without worrying about sin or anything negative as a stupid stumbling block. I am so tired of this world and it's worldliness, but yet I want to make a difference while here and know there is much work to be done

I was thinking back to a time before home video games and I didn't have a TV at the time, and how I kept myself occupied with reading and making things out of clay and painting and so on. That and a lot of avid walkmg and bicycling. But as you say the weather curtails the the latter.

However when I'm experienced periods of generalized anxiety, nothing really helps much.

We are told to hate this life so you may well be onto something there. Im with you on all the above, but I love to sing and Ive lately developed a desire to sing for God. So I will add that to the list above and wait my turn as well.

Hate in this regard is simply meant to not regard this life as all there is and forsake Christ to embrace it. Of course there is much to enjoy, just not to the detriment of our Christian pursuits.
