They all have their strong points.. Funny, they all cater to different markets too, really.

I have an XBox now. I had a PS/2, Super Nintendo and Nintendo. I've played a fair bit on the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. There were only two games on the Cube I even liked. Zelda and Star Wars.

I really liked my PS/2. What a great range of games. I played Final Fantasy X forever.

I own all three, and I gotta say, PS2 still has it. Xbox has about 2 games that are any good, and, by the way, they came out for the other consoles as well.

Also, am I the only person that thinks Halo is highly overrated? I was less than impressed.

What two games would that be?
Are they online on the other systems?

I have a Gamecube because I'm a sucker for Zelda, Mario, and Metroid

I voted for X-Box even though I don't have one. From a PC gamers standpoint, it just seems like it's better. And having Doom 3 releasing for it is pretty much going to drop a bomb on the other systems. :D

It was hyperbole for humorous effect. The only Xbox game I really liked was Jet Grind Radio Future, which admittedly isn't on any other console. Project Gotham Racing was okay, and Mech Assault looks good, but I haven't had the chance to play it. Dead Or Alive 3 was probably the blandest fighting game I've ever played, though, and Halo, as I've mentioned... Anyway, those are the only Xbox-only games I've played.

I gotta admit, KotOR has me looking at dusting off the XBox, but I'm in the middle of a bizarre re-addiction to Diablo II, have the Warcraft III expansion waiting, and have been playing Tony Hawk 4 as well--I actually bought it for the GameCube despite having it for the XBox, that is how much I hate the XBox controllers. Then there's Silent Line (PS2) as well. I figure I'll just wait for KotOR to come out for the PC in November.

Man you haven't played any games on the system. How are you going to knock the system.

It clearly has better online support, and you haven't even touched it.

Simple: based on what I have played and the fact that the other XBox exclusive games don't interest me. The biggest thing the XBox has against it is admittedly the controllers; I find both the massive original controller and the S variant to be rather uncomfortable. Games that come out for multiple platforms I'll usually try out on Gamecube first (better graphics than the PS2, good controller especially with the Wavebird), then the PS2 (easily the best controllers).

Perhaps I'll go out and look for a new controller for it, but 3rd party hardware manufacturers have never impressed me too much except in the case of the Dreamcast where Sega had its usual brain damage in regards to the controllers.

Note: A quick looksee located this rather pricey beauty. I generally love Logitech products--the wheel for the PS2 was solid--so the XBox may get another chance if I decide to cough up that kind of cash.

Sorry, online on the XBox doesn't interest me--I've got a gaming PC for that.

The controller is just right for the size, do you have girl hands? :p
I like the ps2 controller, but it is rather small. Even on the SNES, I bought a special peice that fits on the back of it, giving it the size it needed to be.
I admit, I thought that the xbox controller was going to be a problem, but then I was amazed at how good it really was. Very tight responsive controls.

Now your comparing your pc online to xbox. When it should be xbox to PS2.
If you didn't have PC online, then xbox would be a much stronger asset in your gaming.

I don't know anyone who doesn't think the original XBox controllers were way too big--perhaps it is you who is the freak, heh. The S version was better sized, but there's just something about it that I found incredibly uncomfortable. The PS2 controller feels just about perfect.

Oh, the controls aren't response-wise bad, just uncomfortable.

Maybe, but I don't play any console games online. Heck, I barely play anything online anymore--I prefer playing games with my friends.

Well I am 6'3. And the one and only thing I don't like about the ps controllers is there small size compaired to my large hand.

I love playing against friends, but I am a hard core gamer. I am one of the best gamers in the nation. And for me to find good competition, I usually have to look online. Only two people, on a few different games could compete with me, and even then I was the dominate player(talking about offline).

So for me its online all the way. I played snes online, and dreamcast, but they could only go so far with 56k. I have been waiting for xbox for years.

I just finished it...KotOR is worth it. Being a big War1-3 fan and loving D2 as well, I would say you'd like the game. One great feature is being able to scroll through all the items in the room that are interactable...but you must be in reasonable proximity to it. Oh..and lightsaber battles are just amazing...I'm a purple and green man myself...
