You don't have to care. But it would be an extremely unnatural reaction if you didn't.And we should care...why?
USA badly needs international cooperation on a variety of fronts. Popular bad regard just makes this harder to achieve. Even worse, it bumps up the appeal of our aversaries, by comparison. And we should care...why?
It belies Trump's statements about how the world now respects the USA, due to him and his actions. And we should care...why?
No sir! I don't care what you all think, America First. You don't have to care. But it would be an extremely unnatural reaction if you didn't.
That specific index doesn't have data for that time range. This is the data they have:I wonder where the U.S. ranked before Trump's two terms.

Yes, it might be a Trump effect. At least anecdotally among my acquaintances.
Whatever either of us thinks, you're not first. You're 49th. And I take no pleasure in that whatsoever. No sir! I don't care what you all think, America First.

You don't need to be liked. That's for the tourists. It's a beautiful country. The people are friendly. We 'like' visiting you guys.it's what someone is going to claim that Americans need to do in order to be "liked."
However would we find out about how people feel about the US other than asking them? That's putting a lot of faith in a poll, but whatever floats your boat.
