I can't speak for Merrill but I have spoken up about the Great Reset a couple of times on this forum. My big complaint about the whole thing is that all hard working peoples are not getting a say in any of the Great Reset. It's all the heads of big corporations, big organizations, and rich entrepreneurs. Why do these people think they speak for everyone?

One of the points Great Reset is people may not have to work, that everything we want will be provided for us and we'll be happy.

Sure. It's yet another manifestation of the old scientific canard that "because we think we can, we should ... or even, we will."

I think we all know it's more or less another attempt to move the world into a framework of socialism. However, the only "pushback" I would do, other than to toss a soft-cover bible at the WEF, is to share my individual skepticism with those who want a Global Reset and tell them, "I don't think your political and social rhetoric, as obscurely delivered as it has been thus far, will provide the reset you'd like for it to..."

I remember reading a book from Fareed Zackaria, in which he extolled the virtues and efficiency of unelected, global organizations, which could create and enforce policy. The technocrat globalists love this idea of borderless corporatism, and the total absence of accountability

Corporations will be held to standards defined by "stakeholder capitalism" --which really means, unelected officials having a stake in your operation, and governments defining how much profit is reasonable, what sectors you can go into, and how much carbon you can emit into the atmosphere.

This results in the loss of real shareholder value, market distortions, and massive corruption

The thing is, I don't think there's much we can "do" about it. If I was a Post-Millennialist, then I might deign to offer a kind of Christian activist's form of "pushback." Unfortunately, I'm a pessimist where the general human future is concerned... my job as I see it isn't to change the world or take command of its politics, but to hold myself together as it runs over me.

Six years later and we're on schedule. With subscriptions becoming a way of life I wonder if many have made the connection between that and Schwab's statements. It was hard to conceive how a lack of ownership would make one happy but as things unfold we know the answer is nearing. By the time they finish breaking the economy and offering a solution via ubi; people will eagerly accept it despite the tradeoffs elsewhere.

It was said recently that people need to learn to share, not own. This of course means rent. It also means only the few in control will own so sharing doesn’t apply to them. They get to own it all, their personal utopia (that ends with death). They see themselves as oh so praiseworthy for taking on the burdens of wealth.

Sharing sounds so benevolent and it is but not when twisted to come at a price. There is the difference between Kingdom and adversity. One is freely shared while the other comes with a price. The latter is the backwards traditional way of humankind.

I remember a video I saw during the pandemic that was discussing climate change in relation to occupancy. I don't recall the organization they cited but the gist was making the most of one's home and using it wisely from the overseer's perspective. They gave an example about an individual living in a 3 bedroom home alone and said it was too much space for one person and they'd add roommates for the extra bedrooms.

Another mentioned the sharing economy in respect to home goods. You wouldn't own a mixer per se but would use it for the task in mind and return it to a repository. If you look up the town of Oxfordshire, UK you'll learn about their experiences with smart city legislation. They were trying to restrict their mobility and prevent them from leaving (via car) when they exceeded the cap. They have the videos on YouTube that show them blocking the cars.

It's a dystopian nightmare they plan to implement. Remember when they said New Yorkers should be willing to house illegals in their home? I consider statements like much like the other in the UK as dry runs. They're gauging what we'll permit.
