  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Isaiah 29:9-12 If you confuse yourself, you will stay confused.....for the Lord has poured on you a spirit of deep stupor. The Prophetic vision of it all has become for you like the words in a sealed book. ......
Isaiah 42:19-20 Who is so blind but My servant? ....the one who has My trust... so deaf as the servant of the Lord. You have seen much, but perceived little, your ears are open, but you hear nothing. REBible
That doesn't prove that God's children - followers of the Good Shepherd who said that nothing can snatch us from God's hand - have been locked into false beliefs.
Most of us have the NT.
It is perfectly evident from the proliferation of theories, ideas and plain guesswork, that there is much confusion among Christians as to what God has planned for our future.
Including you.
The only unity I have found on this subject is that nearly everyone disagrees with you.
In ancient times, the Lord led his chosen people into the Promised Land.
Spiritually, we, who have every spiritual blessing in Christ, are already in the Promised Land - the kingdom of God.
Now: there is coming a great Second Exodus,
The second exodus was at the cross - where forgiveness and reconciliation with God were made possible and sin and eternal death were defeated.
Because of the cross we have peace with God, Romans 5:1 and reconciliation, Romans 5:11, 2 Corinthians 5:18. If we are in Christ we have become new creations, 2 Corinthians 5:17, God's children, John 1:12 and have every spiritual blessing, Ephesians 1:3. Jesus' blood is of the NEW Covenant, Matthew 26:28. He is our ransom, Mark 10:45, our Saviour, Acts 4:12, the Lamb of God, John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:19 and the Passover Lamb, 1 Corinthians 5:7. He told his disciples to "do this in memory of him", Luke 22:19 and he is greater than Moses, Hebrews 3:3.
Jesus has bought us with a price, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we belong to God and have eternal life. Wherever we go, or live, God in with us, for us and in us.
Most Christians have, and believe, the NT.

God will have what He always wanted,- a faithful people
He already has that in Christians - people who accept, follow, love and trust his Son though we have never seen him.
The Kingdom of God is greater, and more important, than a piece of actual land.
Jesus said that his disciples are light for the world and his witnesses.

Do theses verses in Ezekiel 39 sound like it is talking about Christians ?
Yes. Because it talks about Israel, not Judah. Who also were taken into exile. The people Jesus came to save; Matthew 15:24
Proved by the fact of how the Jews rejected Him and how the Christian peoples, from every tribe, race, nation and language are the true Israelites of God.
Your determination to have a Jewish redemption and restoration, is wrong and not supported by scripture.
That is why of course, your posts are just opinions and wrong teachings.

keras, there is no way this verse is talking about Christians...

Ezekiel 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

That doesn't prove that God's children - followers of the Good Shepherd who said that nothing can snatch us from God's hand - have been locked into false beliefs.
Judging by the proliferation of various beliefs about end time Prophecy, among Christians, rather a lot have wrong beliefs about the end times.
And it seems impossible to change them. You are a prime example; despite reading Prophesies like Ezekiel 34:11-16, you just can't see how the Lords faithful peoples will occupy the Holy Land.
Including you.
The only unity I have found on this subject is that nearly everyone disagrees with you.
God cannot allow all and sundry to know His plans, even though they are plainly stated in our Bible. He wants His great Day of vengeance and wrath to come as a surprise, sudden and shocking; to test our faith. 1 Peter 4:12

Everyone? I do have some support, just not your circle of acquaintances. Anyway, my reiterating of what God's Prophets have told us, means they are my support.
I also look for the Lord's approval, not yours.
Spiritually, we, who have every spiritual blessing in Christ, are already in the Promised Land - the kingdom of God.
It is a mistake to spiritualize a patch of dirt. An area of earthly land, which does have great significance to us and to God; Deuteronomy 11:11-12
Why would you not want to go there? May prophesies tell of how the Land will become like the Garden of Eden. Isaiah 41:17-20
The second exodus was at the cross - where forgiveness and reconciliation with God were made possible and sin and eternal death were defeated.

Most Christians have, and believe, the NT.
A typical preachy sermon, by the brainwashed clergy, just milk for the masses.
Isaiah 11:11-12, means what it says, - there WAS a first Exodus and there WILL be a Second Exodus.
He already has that in Christians - people who accept, follow, love and trust his Son though we have never seen him.
The Kingdom of God is greater, and more important, than a piece of actual land.
Jesus said that his disciples are light for the world and his witnesses.
Sure, we do the best we can, in our present circumstances.
According to the Bible Prophets, this is not the ultimate situation. We are the Lords loyal servants; Psalms 149:1-9, is just one example of how the Lords righteous peoples will live in the Holy Land.

It seems you have to have the Jews in the Holy Land, otherwise your entire end times paradigm falls apart.

Realize this: the House of Israel, the ten Northern tribes, also transgressed and were exiled by Assyria. THEY are the people, scattered around the world, who accepted Jesus and who will occupy all of the Holy Land, soon after the Lord clears and cleanses it. Including the apostate Jews.
The Christian Israelites = we will become very prosperous and Gog/ Magog's motivation to attack them is for plunder and loot. Ezekiel 38:12-13

Rubbish.

My end times beliefs are ..... are you ready for this?
Jesus is coming back.

That's it. I don't guess at dates, I don't try to make current events fit OT prophesies. I don't what labels like "pre-trib" mean, nor would I accept such a label for myself.
God cannot allow all and sundry to know His plans,
Since when have his own, precious children been "all and sundry"?
I also look for the Lord's approval, not yours.
Ditto. I don't write to give you approval.
Everyone? I do have some support,
I said "nearly everyone".
A typical preachy sermon, by the brainwashed clergy, just milk for the masses.
You're calling the Gospel a "preachy sermon" and "milk for the masses"? Well, you carry on insulting God and his word; that's between you and him.
FYI I am not "clergy", I was not reproducing a sermon but writing Scripture.
Don't get so fixated on OT prophecies - past - and End Times - future - that you miss the life that God wants us all to be living right now.

In ancient times, the Lord led his chosen people into the Promised Land. They failed to occupy all of it and allowed the idolatrous inhabitants to remain, which caused the Israelites to sin, so God had them exiled. But for a set period; Ezekiel 4:4-6.

The two scriptures I presented, surely show that there are many who have the wrong interpretation.
You have yet to give your interpretation of end times events, Your modus operandi is to make snarky comments.

The two Scriptures that you presented aren't the Gospel.
Getting a "wrong interpretation" about end times, isn't that important. Getting a wrong interpretation of the Gospel, is.

Jesus is coming back.
Every Prophet tells us about things that must happen before that glorious Day.
You ignore them at your own risk.
I don't guess at dates, I don't try to make current events fit OT prophesies. I don't what labels like "pre-trib" mean, nor would I accept such a label for myself.
The Lord does give us time periods and we do have the historical record; the Babylonian conquest of Judah was in 586BC, which enable us to correlate with Gods 7000 year plan for mankind.
The saying; 'pre-trib', is not Biblical, just a saying of those who believe the false 'rapture to heaven' theory.
Since when have his own, precious children been "all and sundry"?
Everyone alive, now facing dramatic events and most people are without a clue of which way to turn. Luke 21:25-26
Don't get so fixated on OT prophecies - past - and End Times - future - that you miss the life that God wants us all to be living right now.
If the Lord asks you to do something, would you say: Nah, get someone else?
Even my wife says I should study other scriptures, which I do every Sunday via the sermon.
If anyone dislikes what I present, then just leave this Forum. But let me say, my replies to you and others, allows me to better present what the Prophets said.
I have a very good and comfortable life now. I try to live as the Lords light and salt here, after a career of multiple mission deployments and raising a family, etc.

Israel is mentioned in Ezekiel 38 to 39, but not Judah.
Christians are the Israel of God. Galatians 6:14-16

Your refusal to accept the truth that the House of Judah faces punishment and only a remnant will survive to join their Christian brethren, Jeremiah 50:4-5, is understandable, as that truth negates your end times beliefs.

It seems you have to have the Jews in the Holy Land, otherwise your entire end times paradigm falls apart.
Israel became one nation again in 1948, no longer a northern kingdom nor southern kingdom. Fulfilling that part of Ezekiel 37. And the Jews regained control of Jerusalem in 1967 as the base year for the parable of the fig tree generation. (What do you use as the base year for the parable of the fig tree generation?)

The Gog/Magog attack will be on the current Jewish nation of Israel, back in the land as one nation in 1948. With Jerusalem as its capital.

The content of Ezekiel 38-39 proves that Gog/Magog does not attack some replacement nation made up of Christians migrating there are some solar depopulation event.

It will be the Jews (Judaism) of Israel who will rebuild the temple that the Antichrist will stop the animal sacrifices that are a function of the mount Sinai covenant.

Israel in Ezekiel 38-39 is the united nation of Israel that fulfilled the prophecy of Ezekiel 37 of no longer being a northern kingdom nor southern kingdom. It does not say northern kingdom nor southern kingdom in Ezekiel 38--39, because that status is in the past.

New Zealand acknowledged and recognized back in July 28, 1950, the legitimacy of the current nation of Israel.

But God doesn't. While the Jews remain in apostasy and rejection of Jesus, their nation is false and is the fake Israel, it is Satans construction.
They will never repent of their sins and they will die for their iniquities. Isaiah 22:14

Ezekiel 37:15-28 remains unfulfilled. Proved by how the Blessings Promised have not yet happened.

What about Israeli Messianic Jews? And likewise, America is no better than the modern state of Israel. Couldn't everything you stated @keras be applicable to Americans?
Hard to believe Christianity was an once Sect of Judaism. Liberalism won for the last two millenniums the liberal school of Hallel succeeded. There are no Conservative Jews, only Orthodox Jews, Reformed Jews are Liberal and statistically are the greatest pool of converts to Christianity.
While I understand Westerners have now coined the term "Christian" let's not forget that Jesus was a Jew and nearly every author of every book in both Testaments were Jews. The first followers of Jesus, Jews, and the first churches comprised of Jews.
Replacement theology is "ugly".

What about Israeli Messianic Jews?
Like anybody; a Jewish true Christian believer, who call upon the Name of the Lord and trusts Him for protection, they will be saved. The saved remnant of the Jews, as shown in Isaiah 6:11-15, Isaiah 29:1-4 and Romans 9:27
Replacement theology is "ugly".
An accusation made from ignorance and to support the false 'rapture to heaven' theory.
Gods faithful believers now, are the same as from the beginning. Ethnicity has nothing to do with who is Gods peoples. The example of Ruth proves this.
