• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am wondering about that one guy I was interested in. I found out he was already married and he had a wife, but he cheated on her. That's a red flag. So nope, I will not be pursuing him. I don't want to be an accomplice in his crimes. If I was, his wife would kill me no doubt. And I am NOT polygamous. I was not raised that way. I was raised to think that only two people, and no more, could get married at any one given time. I think only the Mormons or the Jehovah's Witnesses are polygamous to be truthful. Don't their men believe in having a lot of wives? Gross! Don't they live in Utah? I should probably stop talking, I am confusing myself to no end.

More like a black flag...

With a skull and crossbones on it.

The official cutoff is marriage, but a long of singles are long gone from this section once they get engaged.
True...

I should probably saddle a new horse to ride and skedaddle out of here.

I don't really have a lot to say anymore, but perhaps I'll return in some form or another - friendship court maybe, or the prayer wall. Posting in Singles between now and August is pretty redundant.

Congratulations! I'm so pleased by your news and no one is more deserving. I wish you both a lifetime of love and blessings manyfold. Do everything you spoke of and more.

Talk about synergy. This was the topic for a thread I tried to post last night but couldn't. It was a blessing for the community with prayers for people who desired to marry or were engaged. Hopefully, it will work now.
Nothing will change from a personal standpoint - if anything, chasing my purpose has become a lot easier since she came in. It's like having my own personal cheerleader. When I'm feeling despondent, she puts me back in focus.

It was never in question.

You will like it.

Literally a week before I met her, I'd drafted up my "life plan" for the next ten years. God literally read it, shook His head, and tore it up in front of me. Then presented me with the REAL plan.

I preferred His anyway.

Everything will change as it should. Your slumber is no more and you're awake. The world will see the difference in your art and essence. Your influence is like a wind. Sometimes its subtle like a summer breeze or gale force when needed. That's your gift to her.

Capture the moment on canvas and name the series 'Then Came You' and paint with abandon. Wild and unrestrained. Let the untethered out and send me a picture. That's the download I got while responding. :blueheart:

That's unfortunate and relatively common these days especially online. I met someone years ago who was divorcing his wife but I wasn't aware. I knew he was breaking up with his partner but he never said they were married. He told me when went to dinner and I was shocked. We hit it off but I couldn't continue because his reasons were unbiblical. He wanted a submissive woman who was feminine and was willing to end his marriage for it. The Lord won't bless that.

And I am NOT polygamous. I was not raised that way. I was raised to think that only two people, and no more, could get married at any one given time. I think only the Mormons or the Jehovah's Witnesses are polygamous to be truthful.

What you described isn't polygamy. The women agree to share and his wife was in the dark. While I can't speak for JW's, polygamy was outlawed by the Mormon church. Only a few sects practice it.

Been feeling remorse over past sins. These weren’t light run-of-the mill either. If it was performance based I failed all my tests. Is that the point do you think

I saw this earlier and it's really sad.

Reading scores PLUNGE as schools stop assigning full books

I received this via email and thought I'd share it with the community. I'm tagging a few who'd benefit from the introspection. @MehGuy, @Sif, @peaceful-forest & @GodAndChocolateVanilla

10 Questions for the End of Your Year

What worked?
What didn t work?
What do I need more of next time?
What was the loneliest part?
When did I feel most like myself?
In what areas did my confidence grow?
Who or what have I learned the most from?
What were m favorite yeses?
What were my surest nos?
What's one thing I know for sure?

Before moving forward, name:

A progress I'm celebrating.
A pivotal decision I've made.
A question I'm still carrying.
What I want most.

Happy New Year! :yellowheart:

I need to diet.

Also, today I had to go the the street and the sun was so intense that I decided it "Nevermind what people think, I must buy UV-umbrella', and bought a nice trekking umbrella from amazon, which I plan to use if there is too much sun. I'm afraid delivery takes forever...
This is the one I bought:

I refuse to walk in the sun during summers any longer.

It's a matter of habit. The average person probably spends a lot of time watching tiktoks, instagram reels, youtube shorts. I know people, not always young, who fall asleep if they start to read a book.
