The pro- and anti-Prop 8 campaigns spent a combined $83 million on the campaign

It wasn't a one-sided Mormon propaganda campaign as some like to portray it as.

The voters heard amply from both teams (who were both well funded)... the language itself wasn't "tricky"

One sided Mormon crusade? Who said that?

Regardless, they were still acting as invalid usurpers by your measure. 30% out of state spending by various parties could well have tipped the balance. Thats why other so called "usurpers" on the opposite side of the issue absolutely should get involved - so long as this stupid big money game is the one we're playing (thanks R party supreme court!).

At any rate the whole prop 8 thing was unconstitutional. Citizens dont get to do what they want just because they voted on it. It has to conform to the limitations we initially placed on govt power - thankfully!

So what? If the proposition was thought to be unconstitutional then it is his right to help bring it to court.

Like, what's the goal? Just to point out something bad he did and get 20-30 responses of "yeah, that's bad"?

If the goal isn't to actually debate any of it, talk about the conditions that led to it in the first place, or changes that can be made to prevent it from happening again, and is just meant to get affirmation via "preaching to the amen corner", then I fail to see the utility.
