CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Things are getting worse here. The government is moving to join the EU and comply with all anti-Russian positions. Montenegro has been part of Serbia for nearly all of its existence, and as such was always historically to Russia like we are to Canada. Demanding visas for Russians is where things are going now. My wife’s mom is going to become persona non grata, and since the bulk of the kids we teach are Russians whose families fled Russia, all of us are caught up in “Where will we go?” “What can we do?” That makes my fairly solid job quite wobbly. Everyone is very afraid. Plus, our car is effectively a hostage here because of sanctions. Getting it out of the country is problematic. We are afraid. Faith < a grain of mustard seed. I’m always fighting depression. On the plus side, we have a roof over our head, and food on the table for now. The car still works.
My son in Germany has been diagnosed and has to take pills now; we are afraid he may not be able to finish his degree.
While we have (barely) enough money to scrape by here in Montenegro for now, I have almost no more online income, and have no idea how I’m going to help my kids in Germany.
Hoping God will show us a way.
