  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Israel going to bomb Brussels now?

As the number of illegally constructed buildings has risen sharply over the years, the number of demolition orders has also increased.

Did PLO ever remove denial of Israel’s existence from the charter calling for Israel’s destruction after the Oslo Accords?

No.
Sorry - I need a source. Your claim that Palestinian leadership never granted Israel's right to exist is wrong. Again - this time try reading these documents and acknowledging they exist in the world!

In November 1988, the Palestinian parliament-in-exile, the Palestine National Council (PNC), adopted at its Algiers meeting a series of bold and historic resolutions in which the Palestinians indicated for the first time and in a formal manner their acceptance of the principle of partition of the historic land of Palestine. At the same time they accepted, based on the principle of mutual recognition, Israel's right to exist in part of what they consider their own patrimony, renounced the use of political violence, and declared the establishment of their state in exile to be eventually concretized in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Letters of Mutual Recognition were exchanged between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization on 9 September 1993. In their correspondence, Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian president Yasser Arafat agreed to begin cooperating towards a peaceful solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, renounced Palestinian militancy and terrorism, and accepted UNSC Resolution 242 and UNSC Resolution 338. Israel recognized the PLO as a legitimate authority representing the Palestinian people and agreed to commence comprehensive negotiations for the Israeli–Palestinian peace process. These initial agreements between Rabin and Arafat laid the groundwork for the Oslo I Accord on 13 September 1993, effectively serving as its preamble.

They undertook to do so at Oslo but have never fulfilled their obligation to do so.
Did Israel live up to the Oslo accords - or did an ultra-right Militant Zionist assassinate the Prime Minister rather than see peace in the Middle East?

Just like they started the second intifada when they decided violence was a better option to negotiation. They never intended to abide by the Oslo accords, just to gain an advantage in their attempts to destroy Israel as can be seen in their pay to slay policy.
Words recycled from the hate factories. I could read the same from the Palestinians.

But when it comes down to it, I know who is building the walls and systemically persecuting another people. I know FROM HISTORY who is ACTUALLY going down the NAZI pathway of Discrimination becomes Persecution becomes Ghettoization becomes Deportation becomes Concentration → the mass starvation in Gaza today.

The ICJ just ruled that Israel is guilty of starving the Gazan people.

Whine all you want about how much those Gazans are terrible people - Israel killed 67,000 of them and 18,000 children.

Israel 'warned the enemy' that bombs were coming - but then used bombs with a 700 meter kill zone, crushing the lungs of any women and children within a 350 m radius of the strike! How is that surgical!?

Israel released 250 "Palestinian" terrorists who...

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to say "Israel" because really - how genetically Jewish are all those people that IDENTIFY as Jewish and emerged from 2000 of exile across the Roman and then European Empires? What percent of "Israel" actually stayed in Palestine? Didn't "Israel" stop existing when the Romans wiped out Jerusalem in 70AD and burned down the temple?

It's been Palestine for 2000 years. It has been Palestine LONGER than it was "Israel" before that!

And because "Modern Israel" has never abided by international law, should we recognise it as "Israel" until it gets off the land it's not supposed to be on?

But I'm glad you've at least dropped the pretence of trying to reinterpret UN Article 242 and the very Charter of the Untied Nations itself.

Honesty is progress. You can't really work on a problem until you admit you have one.

Those who finance the murderers of Jews with millions in payments cannot guarantee Israel's right to exist.
That is not a valid source - but feels more like a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.
It's also not that credible given the numbers involved.
Hamas committed an awful act - far beyond anything the French resistance did.

Yet Israel are still today's NAZIs when one considers the DECADES of operating internment camp ghettos and persecution.

Wow! That's a lot of children. Funny how children matter when it's NOT about abortion.
My Christian position is that abortion is wrong.

My societal position - as informed by the best in social sciences - is that if we want to reduce abortion in society, just BANNING it and changing some squiggles on a piece of paper is barely going to touch it if the would-be parents feel economically insecure because Trump has shattered their income and kicked them off Medicare. You might think changing squiggles on a piece of parchment shows how you care for kids. But you cannot admit how desperate the urge for an abortion is when the parents feel like the whole family might starve!

If you can't deal with the real world data to come up with real world solutions, then YOU are the one that does not care about babies dying in abortions!

I can propose policies that will at least halve them. At LEAST bring your abortion rate down to the European levels.

But NOOOOO - you just want the entire complicated world of politics dumbed down to a 10 word sound byte about babies.

Ban it - and pass the champagne! Job done! And meanwhile under Trumpism and MAGA the abortion rate might even climb - like it did last time under Trump!

Let alone the potentially 2 MILLION a year that will die from overseas aid cuts, the extra 50,000 Americans a year - or more! - that could die from Medicare cuts - and who knows what abandoning the Paris accord will do to all our economies and the potential ecocide and increase in anthropogenic climate disasters all that could lead to!)

The ICJ has ruled that Israel must resume cooperation with UNRWA and other UN organisations.

The 11 judges of the World Court demand that Israel cooperate unconditionally with UNRWA, an organisation that is demonstrably infiltrated by Hamas terrorists and whose employees actively participated in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. This decision is more than just a legal error: it is a moral bankruptcy that legitimises terrorists and forces a democratic state to cooperate with its own murderers.

The 11 ICJ judges brazenly claim that Israel has not presented ‘sufficient evidence’ that a significant portion of UNRWA employees belong to Hamas. This statement is not only false, it is a deliberate distortion of reality. Israel has presented hundreds of documents, video recordings, audio evidence and intelligence dossiers that prove beyond doubt that UNRWA is not a neutral aid organisation, but an integral part of Hamas's terrorist infrastructure.

On Oct 7 2023, UNRWA teachers, social workers and administrative staff were right in the thick of it. They murdered families, took hostages, looted houses and transported ammunition. Video footage shows UNRWA employees cheering, ‘I'm inside with the Jews!’ One UNRWA teacher was filmed throwing the body of a murdered Israeli onto a truck. Another took a female hostage into custody and bragged about it.

Over 1,200 UNRWA employees in Gaza, 10 per cent of the total workforce, have direct links to Hamas or "Palestinian" Islamic Jihad. UNRWA schools are systematically used to teach children to hate Jews. UNRWA buildings serve as Hamas command centres. UNRWA tunnels lead directly to underground bunkers where Israeli hostages are held captive.

In 2014, the car park at UNRWA headquarters in Gaza collapsed, because Hamas was digging terror tunnels underneath it. Everyone knew about it. No one talked about it. This is the culture of silence that UNRWA has cultivated for decades: looking the other way when Hamas misuses schools as weapons depots. Remaining silent when teachers educate their students to become martyrs. Cooperating when terrorists use UN vehicles for attacks.

The ICJ ruling reveals the fundamental hypocrisy of the international order. No other country in the world would be forced to cooperate with an organisation that has been proven to employ terrorists and whose employees have been involved in massacres against their own population.

Imagine if, after 9/11, the US had been asked to cooperate with a UN organisation whose employees support Al-Qaeda. Imagine if, after the Bataclan attacks, France were forced to cooperate with UN personnel who sympathise with ISIS. Imagine if, after a terrorist attack, Germany were instructed to work with UN employees who are Holocaust deniers.

Israel will not comply with this ruling. UNRWA remains permanently banned from the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers identified in ICC complaint on killing of Hind Rajab

Dozens of Israeli soldiers identified in ICC complaint on killing of Hind Rajab

The Hind Rajab Foundation has been tracking down the alleged killers of the Palestinian girl and her family ...
The filing "includes comprehensive digital, satellite, and forensic evidence confirming that Merkava IV tanks of the Vampire Empire Company repeatedly fired on the black Kia Picanto in which Hind and her family were trapped, and later targeted the ambulance sent to rescue her", HRF said.

"The attacks were carried out with full knowledge of the victims’ civilian and protected status, following prior coordination between the Palestinian Red Crescent and Israeli authorities," it added.

"The Foundation’s legal team concludes that these acts amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, under Articles 6, 7, and 8 of the Rome Statute".

The IDF soldiers killed with impunity knowing they would not be brought to justice for war crimes such as this.

I knew this story, but Hind Rajab story was fabricated.

Check out the video Al Jazeera posted that proves the audio is a forgery before they pulled it down. Then read Mark Zlochin's detailed analysis clearly illustrating how the official story CANNOT be accurate based on the evidence Al Jazeera provides.

New Israeli documents reveal how deeply the terrorist organisation Hamas and the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera are intertwined.

According to this, the Qatari news centre Al Jazeera has for years not only acted as a mouthpiece for Hamas, but also as part of its operational apparatus of influence. Documents seized in Gaza paint a picture of systematic cooperation between the media organisation and the terrorist movement.

The materials evaluated speak of an ‘organised system of deliberate disinformation’ in which Al Jazeera deliberately adopted military narratives, disseminated Hamas video material and published false reports about Israeli soldiers without verification.

The revelations coincide with earlier Israeli allegations that Hamas propaganda and journalistic reporting in Gaza have long since merged. The fact that reporters accompanied the terrorist organisation during attacks suggests that Al Jazeera was not merely an observer but also a participant in the psychological dimension of the conflict.

but one more reason not to negotiate with them.

The more Jews, the terrorists slay, the more the PA pays. PA President Mahmoud Abbas. the man, who claims he wants peace with Israel, yet he still refuses to condemn the horrific massacre of Oct 7th.

In Psalm 83, we find the language of anti-Semitism predicted for the end times. Here, the enemies of Israel speak:

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. Ps 83:4

This very language was spoken in 1948, 1967 and 1973. And Hamas, Fatah (PLO), Hezbollah, the enemies of Israel, still speak this language today.

It's not
"The Court also underscored that the Israeli authorities’ claim that UNRWA is infiltrated by Hamas was not substantiated, nor were allegations that UNRWA is not a neutral organisation.
UNRWA and other agencies are present in the occupied Palestinian territory to address overwhelming needs, and we must all be allowed to do our work without obstruction."

and whose employees actively participated in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
Oh the humanity!
There I was thinking Hamas terrorists did it.
Oh wait - they did.

This decision is more than just a legal error: it is a moral bankruptcy
Yeah - you get em with your moral indignation! Except - who killed 67,000 Gazans and 18,000 children?

that legitimises terrorists
Israel have for decades now increasingly behaved like the very regime that forced so many Jews to flee Europe in WW2!! Discrimination becomes Persecution becomes Ghettoization becomes Deportation becomes Concentration → the mass starvation in Gaza today. So which is worse - militant Islam or militant Zionism? I know the numbers for THIS case!

You've drunk the cool-aid. But the ICJ are quite experienced in this stuff. They know what to look for when Israel send fake propaganda through to them. Israel have ignored the UN's rulings for over half a century - and continue to practice slow-motion ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Settler colonisation. It's illegal, it's immoral, and it's killing people! How many people have Zionists killed in just the West Bank in the last decade!

Oh look - THAT number is higher than the October 7 attack on Israel!

But - unlike Israel - they're not armed by a super-power.
So they can't do anything - except die - or get kicked off the land the UN has granted them.
Or go crazy and commit more Oct 7's.

All of which means - maybe - just maybe - Israel could try OBEYING international law for once? Let Palestine develop as it should? Stop the pretence at moralistic outrage.

The world is disgusted with Israel right now.

We watched Gazan civilians being blown to bits for too long - with Netanyahu continuing the war to maintain emergency powers and avoid jail, sort of like Donald Trump's desperation to become President to avoid his won legal situations.

This perverse motivation drove him into Israel's hard right.

The UN's food distribution was cut from 400 to Israel's 4 - who then used 'crowding' as an excuse to shoot em up!

Innocent civilians - trying to get food!

And any time nations raised concerns over watching them starve - Israel's PM just called them Anti-Semitic.
Buddy - you use that word too much and we see through your indignation straight into the jail cell waiting patiently behind you.
Go away Bibi - you're a whining little boy who has lied almost as much as Trump.

Go straight to jail - do not collect $200!

Remember ISIS?

Here's a short history of what happened when the international community clubbed together to defeat ISIS - a group that at one stage had more terrain than Great Britain. Unlike Israel's war on Gaza, the UN allowed reporters in, especially to Mosul - where the urban street fighting in the old city of Nineveh was intense. Everything was covered by journalists armed with video footage from civilian phones. Australian bombings that had significant 'collateral damage' (civilian deaths) were thoroughly investigated.

The international community tried to limit bombing as a result of accountability and the concern to limit collateral damage. As a result, they estimate the 'collateral damage' to be about HALF the number of militants killed.

Compare that to Israel, who...

1. kept journalists out.
2. bombed the entire area indiscriminately
3. demolished buildings while combat was actually occurring elsewhere
4. PM and others in government OPENLY saying the 'quiet bits out loud' in declaring they would NEVER let a Palestinian state exist!
5. Ended up with 'collateral damage' about FOUR TO FIVE TIMES the number of militants killed!

Yeah, right. Israel wasn't doing ANYTHING suspicious!

So what are the logistics of rebuilding Gaza?
Well - Mosul had vastly less buildings damaged, let alone completely destroyed.
Yet 8 years later - only 7% of Mosul has been rebuilt.

My favourite reporter compares that to Gaza!

My only response?
Israel - who even are you these days?

Thats if you believe Hamas propaganda.

You know who was hiding and fighting from behind civilians? Hamas.

You know who was deliberately targeting civilians so they could not get away? Hamas

You know who was stealing the food from the civilians that the UN was trying to deliver without Isreali help? Hamas.

You know who fault this war was? Hamas.

The UN is as corrupt as tge day us long. Their ICJ is their top court and Unrwa is also a UN run organization. All of its a cc cesspool of corruption and anti-semetism.

Good, the UN is an anti-semetic organization.
You sound like Netanyahu. They called Australia and Canada in the UK and France anti-Semitic. People supporting the war crimes of Militant Zionism need to come up with a new term, or anti-semitic is going to become meaningless. It will become a cliche that just means anyone who doesn't support Israel's right to mass murder and more crimes and starving a population out.

Didn't happen
It did.
Have you ever studied at the type of bombs they used? The explosive range? I have. There's no way some of those bombs were instruments of precision targeting.

If they did it was to take out Hamas. You know Hamas had tunnels and houses everywhere right? Not just where the fighting was happening at the moment?
I guess that means you can't use soldiers. May as well just nuke the entire area!

They never said that.

Netanyahu himself said it quite publicly around late September. I'm on my phone it's a bit awkward to look up the links for you, in fact because you're the one making this weird assertion you should go have a look yourself.

T.his is true to decades of Israeli policy and statements and any Israeli prime minister that says otherwise seems to be assassinated!
You know who fault this war was? Hamas.
You know who blockaded Gaza for decades and decades against international law? You know it's sociology 101 that if you come in and steal someone's land against international law, and surround them with walls and turn their hometowns into open air prisons, and restrict their trade and travel, and treat them like criminals, and generally behave terribly to them and restrict their economy and even access to reliable electricity - that eventually you're going to face disorder or even a rebellion.

I know the French resistance never did anything as abhorrent as the Hamas attack on innocent Israeli youth at a music festival. Even the French resistance tried to target mainly German military targets.

But make no mistake. Israel have occupied both of these lands against international law for over half a century. The United nations divided up the Middle East in 1947 and gave the Jewish third of the population over half the land. I'm surprisingly Arabs committed some acts of civil disorder. This ended up becoming the 1948 Arab Israeli war in which Israel took even more land than was allocated to them.

A few wars later and we are in the current situation where the Palestinians don't have any of their own land because Israel occupy it all. And continue to settle on it against previous peace agreements and against the Oslo according against international law!

There are over half a million Jewish settlers in the West bank, and it is so occupied that a map of it looks like Swiss cheese, and the little holes are the Palestinian ghettos that Israel have oh so graciously left them. Except keep kicking them out, sometimes murdering inhabitants of homes they want. Meanwhile the western well turns a blind eye because American evangelicals seem to have such a thing for Israel.

Ghettoization becomes concentration in the world's two largest jails, Gaza and the West bank.

The horrible irony is that the very people who fled the ghettos and camps of Nazi Germany are now inflicting many of the same tactics on another people.

But because Israel have the backing of American evangelicals (with all these weird end timetables they want to see happen in the middle east), somehow it's all the Muslims fault. Everything. Even the decades of spiteful mismanagement and encirclement and entrapment and dispossession of land.

That's all the Muslims fault, not wonderful shining Israel!

I'm no advocate for militant Islam either.

Bit I think America is now so far outside normal western values that American Christians especially just cannot seem to handle the cognitive dissonance that hits when facts outside their worldview land on their TV screen.

Those who can shop in Gaza today either belong to Hamas structures or have come to terms with them. Hamas cadres, smugglers, middlemen and influencers with ties to terrorism are enriching themselves at the expense of the population's suffering. Aid supplies disappear, donations end up in TikTok accounts, while some "Palestinians" starve. If you want to help Gaza, you have to remove Hamas from power.

1761391985874.jpeg

jwire.com.au

The photos were taken by "Palestinian" photographer Majdi Fathi and shows the Al-Sahaba market in the centre of Gaza. Traders hawk fruit, customers stroll by with plastic bags, children snack on figs. Amidst it all: Israeli goods, Israeli money, Israeli aid.

What stands in the way is not some Israeli plan for genocide. It is a terrorist regime, Hamas, that started this war, hides behind civilians, exploits humanitarian aid and actively prevents any future for "Palestinians" that does not serve its extremist agenda.

Reducing this reality to Holocaust comparisons is not only wrong. It is a grotesque distortion of history and today's truth. It dehumanises the Israelis, insults the victims of the Holocaust, and poisons any honest attempt to make peace.

UNRWA and other agencies are present in the occupied Palestinian territory to address overwhelming needs, and we must all be allowed to do our work without obstruction."

Evidence about the link between Hamas and UNRWA is public knowledge.

For decades, UNRWA has been regarded as an untouchable institution. It administered schools, health centres and aid programmes, financed by Western countries, which pumped over a billion dollars into the structures every year.

But Hamas membership lists and other documents found in Gaza, showing that over 15% of UNRWA’s senior educators in Gaza, in 60 UNRWA institutions, are members of the Hamas and "Palestinian" Islamic Jihad terrorist groups.

The UN, that promised to educate "Palestinian" children with values such as peace, tolerance, and universal human rights, instead has handed them over to the very operatives who recruit child soldiers, glorify suicide bombers, and preach the annihilation of a UN member state.

By knowingly employing Hamas terrorist leaders as school principals and teachers, and by allowing terror chiefs to head the unions that oversee thousands of their teachers, UNRWA didn’t just tolerate extremism, the Western-funded UN agency institutionalized it, turning classrooms into incubators of hate.

Over its 75 years of existence, UNRWA has churned out thousands of jihadi terrorists. Some of the most infamous include the perpetrators of the 1972 Munich Massacre, or Mohammed Deif, the now-deceased commander of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades, one of the masterminds of the Oct 7th atrocities in Israel.

2024, EU Parliament adopted a resolution calling for the funds allocated to UNRWA to be frozen in the face of evidence that UNRWA facilities had been a refuge for Hamas’ terrorists, and had been used by them to plan attacks and store the weapons used to carry out the attacks on and murders of Israeli citizens on 7 Oct 2023.

So they can't do anything - except die - or get kicked off the land the UN has granted them.

Historically speaking, the Mandate territory had already been divided when the British established Transjordan for the Arabs in 1923, today's Jordan. Nevertheless, all attempts to carry out a further division were rejected by the "Palestinian" side, which raises the question of what the leaders are actually concerned with.

A "Palestinian" state in the "West Bank" and Gaza Strip would reduce Israel to a width of only 15 km, which is problematic in terms of defence. In addition, this state could serve as a platform for hostile forces such as Iran and terrorist organisations. This security dilemma is rarely considered.

A two-state solution is often presented as the only option, but it remains questionable from a biblical, legal and security policy perspective. Furthermore, according to the current ideas of the "Palestinian" leadership, a "Palestinian" state would be free of Jews and would therefore not be a free and open state.

Western and arabic states are determined to impose a "Palestinian" state on Israel, even though it would be another ‘Hamastan’ and central Israel would be exposed to attacks like the one on Oct 7 on steroids. And just as Israel was ready to attack Hamas's last stronghold in Gaza-City, which is key to defeating this genocidal enemy, America put intense pressure on the Jewish state to abandon this last front in the war. The reality on the ground remains unchanged: Islamist forces continue to aim for the destruction of Israel.

Hamas' sole objective is the destruction of Israel and the establishment of an Islamist caliphate. The PLO charter speaks of the ‘liberation’ of all of "Palestine", which makes peace seem illusory.

Lasting peace can only be achieved if something fundamental changes in the spiritual realm. There are three possible scenarios:

1 A deradicalisation of Islam;
2 A turning of the Middle East to the G-d of Israel through Jesus Christ;
3 The return of Jesus, who will bring about the Kingdom of G-d.

With Jesus' return, peace will come to Israel, the Middle East and the whole world

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the G-d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isa 2:2-4

Yeah - you get em with your moral indignation! Except - who killed 67,000 Gazans and 18,000 children?

The figures do not differentiate between combatants and civilians. However, the data in Hamas's lists refute their claim that most of the victims are civilians. Around 72 per cent of the fatalities aged between 13 and 55 are men, which roughly corresponds to the age range of Hamas fighters

We know already that Hamas uses child soldiers. According to a Saudi report published six months ago, the military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has recruited around 30,000 young people from Gaza to join its ranks

Yes, there will be casualties. Yes, innocent people will be affected. Yes, it's terrible. But it's unavoidable, because #4689

What does a football team do when it loses a match? Well, it leaves the pitch. If the opposing team does not adhere to the rules of the game, the game will be stopped and the rules of the game will be suspended, meaning they are no longer valid.

Where have you been hiding? Any questioning of Israel or the USs lockstep support and funding for them gets one accused of antisemitism.

The PA has also rejected Netanyahu's criticism. His accusations are ‘unfounded and hostile to peace’. Significantly, it is the PA itself that has rejected all peace agreements over the past decades that could have led to a two-state solution and thus enabled the establishment of a separate state for the "Palestinian" Arabs, while Israel agreed to all proposals.
