Okay, to 'the modern generation' ...
Looks like Cracker Barrel has become your restaurant now!
I've been to CB sooooo many countless times over the decades ...
It's been hugely big with folks who love things old, antique ... farmhouse style.
Very rare was it, that you could go into one of these restaurants and not have to wait in line for a table!
Food is good ... but it's the atmosphere that folks liked. Real 'down home', country-like, if you know what that means.
Was fun to sit there with others and discuss the antique memories on the walls, while waiting for your food to arrive.
Yep, I know, what I'm saying is all very 'old fashioned'. But that's what folks liked about the place.
It was 'old fashioned'.
Not just old folks ... seniors ... ate at CB. Lots of church folk loved it, too!
Folks brought their families to the place, because there was a 'homey', wholesome 'family feeling' there.
Changing the logo doesn't bother me so much, but changing the interior was a HUGE change. I've seen the photos ... ugh! Unless a whole new type of clientele begins to frequent this restaurant, I suspect they'll be out of business as 'Cracker Barrel' in a few years.
And I'm not here to debate. Just thought I'd toss in my opinion, as a former very regular CB customer.
I do represent alot of folks who use to love the place, the way it was.
Oh well, "another one bites the dust".
Was nice, while it lasted ...
