Aye, the beast or evil inclination bringing us down.

The heart and mind of man are never empty if there is no water therein

there are snakes and scorpions.

When Joseph was thrown into the pit, there was no water in it,

the pit was empty.

So how is it like comng into this world?

"Against your will you are formed,

against your will yu are born,

against your will you will live,

against your will you will die."

(Ethics of the Fathers 4:22.)

Caught in a trap?

Hardly, light a light,

yeah, even in the darkest of places a singel candle will give light to the surroundings.

Water, why water?

This is why the Torah is likened to water:

Just as water descends from a high place to a low place,

so does the Torah descend from it`s place of glory,

which is the will and wisdom of G-d, (where) the Torah and the Holy One ,

Blessed be He are one and no mind can grasp Him at all;

and from there it journeys and descends through hidden stages,

level after level, until it becomes enclothed in material things and matters of this world,

which is (the subject) of virtually all the Torahs commandments.

Also a note on water,

The sequence of the creation as written is not possible.

"And the spirit of G-d hovered over
the face of the water."

Scripture does not disclose when the creation of water took place.

We learn therefore that water preceded the earth.

Fiction. Specifically, my own.

I'd essentially given up. Have self-censored my web site into inactivity. Hadn't had any fresh ideas. Haven't had luck selling those I did. Other than a version of Snow White that was close to the original Grimm version, nothing came to mind. Then Sunday had an idea for a short story about the whole superhero premise that plays up to something often overlooked about one fictional character. No, it's not fan fic. Then the next day a short, darkly humored, story about vampires came to mind. Both didn't take long to write. The better stuff usually doesn't.

Now, this brings up some issues. First, none of them are appropriate for CF, which raises the question are they appropriate for a Christian to write. The close-to-Grimm version is risque. The superhero one has some foul language, but a positive message about home and family. The vampire story has a foul gesture, drinking (both kinds) and one brief instance of violence.. And yes, the vampires are unsavory characters. After all, they are vampires.

So what is a Christian doing writing this stuff? Seriously.

The ironic part: Given the political climate in SF/F (and no, this isn't a political discussion and please, no one turn it in to one) I don't think any of it would be published. I'm grown cold on the whole publishing scene, and while all three has zero political content, doubt there would be any use in submitting it anywhere. So it's not even being conformed to the world in hopes of making a sale.

A quote that is on mind today, I told it to my daughter today, made her laugh, good sign.

I find it helps against the dreamers, the so-called elite, for some time I have wondered just who the heck they think they are.

"You`re not as great as you think, and the world it is not as bad as it seems."
