Is that the best you can do?

Perhaps then maybe you can show me in the Scriptures where God relegated the Faithful Gentile, "by His Law of Commandments" as "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world".

And maybe you will answer the question, since Bob won't, "In your religion, was God the "circumcision" made with hands that called Faithful Gentiles the "Uncircumcision" who was "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"?

I look forward to the best you can do Clare73.

The Levitical laws of defilement caused the Jews not to "mix it up" with the Gentiles, making those laws the dividing wall of hostility.

  1. Not to indulge in familiarities with relatives, such as kissing, embracing, winking, skipping, which may lead to incest (Lev. 18:6) (CCN110).
  2. Not to commit incest with one's mother (Lev. 18:7) (CCN112). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  3. Not to commit sodomy with one's father (Lev. 18:7) (CCN111).
  4. Not to commit incest with one's father's wife (Lev. 18:8) (CCN113). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.

  6. Not to commit incest with one's father's wife's daughter (Lev. 18:11) (CCN128). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  7. Not to commit incest with one's son's daughter (Lev. 18:10) (CCN119) (Note: CC treats this and the next as one commandment; however, Rambam treats them as two). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  8. Not to commit incest with one's daughter's daughter (Lev. 18:10) (CCN119) (Note: CC treats this and the previous as one commandment; however, Rambam treats them as two). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  9. Not to commit incest with one's daughter (this is not explicitly in the Torah but is inferred from other explicit commands that would include it) (CCN120). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  10. Not to commit incest with one's fathers sister (Lev. 18:12) (CCN129). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  11. Not to commit incest with one's mother's sister (Lev. 18:13) (CCN130). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  12. Not to commit incest with one's father's brothers wife (Lev. 18:14) (CCN125). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  13. Not to commit sodomy with one's father's brother (Lev. 18:14) (CCN114).
  14. Not to commit incest with one's son's wife (Lev. 18:15) (CCN115). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  15. Not to commit incest with one's brother's wife (Lev. 18:16) (CCN126). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  16. Not to commit incest with one's wife's daughter (Lev. 18:17) (CCN121). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  17. Not to commit incest with the daughter of one's wife's son (Lev. 18:17) (CCN122). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.
  18. Not to commit incest with the daughter of one's wife's daughter (Lev. 18:17) (CCN123). See Prohibited Marriages and Illegitimate Children.

Surely you can see the deception here. The Law of God is, "Don't commit incest". Yet the deceiver that you are trusting, has convinced you that there are 18 laws here that God placed on your neck, that Jesus came to abolish, and you are teaching others that they are "done, cooked, completed, finished". So I guess in your religion, incest is acceptable "Christian" behavior.

But Your internet copy and paste doesn't justify the insidious lie that God placed on the necks of all men who trusted Him, 613 Laws. It's a lie, a deception, and your copy and paste proves the point.

The truth is, the prince of this world wants men to believe, just as it convinced Eve, that you can not trust God. It "professes to know God", and even quotes "Some" of God's Words, just like your adopted teachers did in the internet sermon you posted.

But as you can see, this is just one example of many which shows to deception of the internet post.

The truth is, Jesus walked in Every Commandment of God, and anyone who teaches that God placed 613 Laws on Him or anyone, is a liar and a deceiver.

You should be more careful whose voice you choose to adopt.
You are attempting to make a point about just 18 laws that you don’t agree with? The resource that I quoted does provide book and verse number for all 613. How do you account for that? How about the other 595 laws?

The Levitical laws of defilement caused the Jews not to "mix it up" with the Gentiles, making those laws the dividing wall of hostility.

No, to believe you, I would have to reject the Words of the Christ Himself. Why would I do that?

Here is what the "Levitical Laws" that Jesus said to live by.

Lev. 19: 33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. 34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, "and thou shalt love him as thyself"; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

This is the snare many have adopted Clare. Men have been convinced it was God's Laws that led men astray, just like Bob has. And when they are shown that they have been deceived into believing a falsehood about God, they rebel against the Word itself, and demean those who would show them. But you don't have to be this way.

I advocate that men stop listening to the "Bob's" of this world, and start listening to what the Bible actually teaches. If the Jews had "Believed Moses" there would have been no "wall of Separation". It was expressly forbidden by God's Laws, as even you must surely be able to see, to "Vex" a Faithful Gentile, or treat him differently than a faithful Jew. Not to mention, Paul told you who called Faithful Gentiles, "The Uncircumcision", and you can't bring yourself to even acknowledge this or to answer the question I posed concerning who the "circumcision" was.

What if Paul and Moses is telling you the truth here, and it wasn't the "commandments of God" that relegated faithful Gentiles as "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"?

What if the Jesus "of the Bible" was telling you the truth when HE said the Pharisees/Circumcision, (made with hands) taught for doctrines the "commandments of men" and not God.

What if it wasn't God's/Christ's Laws at all that caused men to go astray, but the "other voice" in the garden that "Full well reject God's Commandments that they might keep their own man-made traditions"?

I asked you to "Show Me" in Scriptures where God's Laws relegate a faithful person born with "ANY" DNA, as "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"

Find the Commandment that makes void the Christ's Own Words spoken before becoming Flesh.

Ex. 12: 49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Is. 56: 6 Also the sons of the stranger, (Gentile) that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

So Clare73, show me in Moses and the Prophets where there are commandments of God relegating Faithful Gentiles as "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"

And if you can't find it, then perhaps it's because it isn't there, and Paul and Jesus are right, that the mainstream religoin of that time were promoting for doctrines the commandments of men.

It's simply not true, and this internet copy and post is created to promote this insidious falsehood about God.

If you believed in this Jesus, that is, the Jesus "of the Bible", you would know that Jesus is still fulfilling the LAW. In fact, HE is fulfilling the weightier matters of the Law, like Mercy and Longsuffering, and compassion.

The Abrahamic covenant is law
Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

1 Chr 16:13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

A covenant of mercy....
De 7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: {if: Heb. because }

According to what is actually written in Scriptures, Jesus, the Jesus "of the Bible" is to this day, being an "Advocate" between me and His Father "According to the Law". And will continue to do so until HE returns, which has yet to be fulfilled.
Fulfilling the promises to Abraham indeed.
De 7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
The deceiver would have us believe this Biblical Truth is a lie, and that Jesus already did everything for you, and now you can create your own religion, reject God's Judgments and Statutes, create your own images of God and your own high days in worship of this image, and you are blameless. But the Jesus "of the Bible" Himself, exposes this deception.

Rev. 22: 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give "every man" according as his work shall be.

You are still alive, making choices. You can still repent and turn away from this world's religious system, and turn to God with your heart, mind and body, as Paul teaches both Jew and Gentile.
??? To vague.
God is continuing in the oath he swore in covenant with Abraham. His mercies and longsuffering by it.
It is the covenant whereby redemption from Egypt came. The Passover blood, and the memorial feast.
Ex 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
Ex 6:5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

Your hypothesis to prove. I’m curious, how many laws do you propose that there actually are?

ETA: Each of the 18 incest and sodomy laws that you cited in your previous post are specific to a particular relative or persons and most in their own verse. They are not the same. The Lord can be very thorough.

You didn’t answer my question, have any of the laws been abolished?
Heb 10:4-12 speaking of the laws for animal sacrifice and ceremonial offierings...
"He takes away the first to establish the second"

that ceremonial law of sacrifice and offerings was "taken away" at the cross - according to Heb 10.

By contrast "there REMAINS therefore a SABBATH rest for the people of God" Heb 4

All of the law was fulfilled by Christ including the moral law, the prescriptive law
And yet it is "still sin" for even a Christian to "take God's name in vain"

Predictive law (Passover) ends when the event it predicts happen.
Prescriptive law remains - so for example Ex 20:7

even the Jews are not under the laws of the Old Covenant.
Under the Ex 20 covenant it was a sin - to take God's name in vain.

And it is STILL a sin to do that - even for you, even for any christian that you meet.

So then read Eph 6:1-2 for the details

The "wall of hostility" in response to the defilement laws, where the Jews separated themselves from the Gentiles, was in existence long before Jesus came along.

Absolutely, the rebellious Jews rejection of God's Laws, and them separating themselves from God through the creation of man-made Laws (precepts of men) are well documented in the Law and Prophets. Like Stephen said,

Acts 7: 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as "your fathers did", so do ye.

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

And of course, the Jesus "of the Bible" Himself.

Matt. 15: 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias (Isaiah) prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

So yes, the practice of this world's religions, "Who profess to know God", of rejecting God's Judgments and Laws so that they might keep their own man-made religious traditions has been clearly documented throughout the bible. I'm not sure what your point is, other than trying to promote the lie that it was obedience to God's Laws, and not man's, that led to the Wall of Separation.

Why can you not provide even ONE Scripture from the Entire bible, that teaches that the rebellious Jews were following God's "Laws of Defilement" and this is what caused the "Wall of Separation"? So Jesus had to come along and destroy God's "Law of Defilement".

How far will you go to defend and justify this obvious falsehood promoted by modern religions "who profess to know God", that it was obedience to God's Laws that caused the "Wall of Separation" between God and the Faithful Gentiles?

This is quite fascinating Clare73. Can you not see what is written here?

Read mine again. . .

I did not say the Levitical laws required Jews to be separate from Gentiles.

Here is what you said.

"The Levitical laws of defilement "caused the Jews" not to "mix it up" with the Gentiles, "making those laws" the dividing wall of hostility."

I am addressing your very words, which I have heard taught by "many" "who come in Christ's Name" since I was a child.

What I asked for was even ONE place in the entire Law and Prophets that proves, or justifies this popular religious philosophy you have adopted and are now promoting, that it was "God's Laws of defilement" that caused the Jews "to make the Levitical Laws" "The Dividing wall of hostility".

Instead of just blindly following ancient Catholic doctrines, why not look are what is actually written, and answer my questions Clare?

Where do you get the teaching that it was God's Laws that caused the "Wall of Separation"? Shouldn't you be able to find "Something", "Anything" from the Actual Scriptures to support this popular religious philosophy?

Maybe you are too proud to say something on a public forum, I am fine with that. But truly, please consider what Paul is actually teaching here, and whose Ancient Laws had relegated Faithful Gentiles as "without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world".

Perhaps then in the confines of your own home, when no one but God is looking, you will come to the knowledge of this truth, and stop promoting such a wicked and insidious falsehood about God and His Son that have lead so many astray.

That is a pretty serious judgment against the God and Father of the Lord's Christ. Shouldn't you have at least ONE teaching from the Law and Prophets showing it was God's Law that caused the Jews to do these things?

Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

Who was Free?

Abraham, who God said "obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."

or the men of Sodom? "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."

Who was Free?

Caleb, who God said; But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

or Achan? "And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:"

Who is free?

Ez. 20:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. 21 But "if the wicked" will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, (Repents, turns to God and brings forth works worthy of repentance, as Paul teaches,) and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

OR.

24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Who is free?

Matt. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

OR

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Who is Free.

Romans 6: 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye "yield yourselves" servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, "or" of obedience unto righteousness?

Who is free?

Matt. 13: 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

OR:

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Who was free?

Luke 1: 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

OR;

Mark 7: 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

I don't think, according to your post, that you have any idea what the difference is between Being "Free to serve God" or be "Held Captive by Sin".

If you would answer the questions I asked honestly, perhaps we can continue.

Here is what you said.
The dividing wall was in the Temple, and is used as a metaphor for the animosity between OT Jews and Gentiles (Eph 2:14) as a result of the defilement laws which separated them.
That dividing wall of animosity was broken down by Jesus in abolishing the laws and commandments and ordinances--and offering a better way. . .the way of the cross.

And to enter into that rest we must believe, that’s the premise of the passage. It doesn’t say anything about observing the Saturday sabbath. “For we who have believed have entered into that rest” Hebrews 4:3 The entire previous chapter is about remaining steadfast in our faith and is carried over into chapter 4 hence the word “Therefore” being the first word in chapter 4.

Why do you suppose God said “They shall not enter into My rest”? Was He saying that they shall not rest on the Sabbath? Because they did rest on the Sabbath because it was enforced by law and the consequence of not resting on the Sabbath was to be put to death. The Pharisees rested every Saturday. Did they enter into God’s rest?
