In the three temptations of Christ in the desert, the devil quoted scripture and Jesus responded with scripture .
Since in this case of the devil quoting scripture did not upgrade him to "God" - the same applies to humans.
As the scripture says about itself, it is useful - However, reading it does not make them God.
God's Words do exactly as He Alone Determines, regardless of the handlers
For example, IF God says, and He did say, that man shall LIVE by every Word of God, Matt. 4:4, Luke 4:4, and Deut. 8:3, THEN that is exactly what will happen whether we read it, happen to see it, understand it or don't even see or hear of it.
Additionally anyone reading or saying the Word by automatic default only understands in part anyway. No one is capable in this present life of full and complete understandings. So any claim we hear, any doctrinal positions that are made, are in fact still far far short of the Glory of God by virtue of the imperfect handlers, purveyors and hearers. And probably for our own good, as the whole of what God is would be too much for anyone. Probably also why He keeps a low profile.
God said do not work on the Sabbath, with an exception clause that over rode that command, though it's unspoken i.e. do no work, but these guys can work, and it's OK for them to work, but not for everyone else.
Matthew 12:5
Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the
priests in the temple
profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Short version: Not all is as it appears on the surface
