They received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, that is my understanding. My religious studies professor in college said not all of the apostles received water Baptism, but their baptism was the Pentecost.
This is correct. Scripture is also silent about the baptismal status of the 500 witnesses of resurrected Christ (I Cor. 15:26).
