Amazon had the movie dvd for sale for $9.00 so i ordered it and watched it tonight. Not bad i remember the green snakes and at the end it had Doc checking his answering machine. With another crises to take on and it stated, watch out for the next new thrilling Adventure The Arch Enemy of Evil.
He had an answering machine in the mid-70's?

I remember old clothes. I was just looking at some pictures from 30 years ago and I still have the same shirt and pants! I guess anything (besides socks and underwear) I buy now will last the rest of my life.

I remember summers without air conditioning.
We didn't have it in our homes, or in our cars.

(We slept with fans in our windows. We rode with our windows rolled down!)

In 1900's Boxer's Movement, Christians' Children in Guangdong China. I was not too old to experience 1900's movement. But it seems like this photo can take me into that time and space.

Yikes, I don't remember that. Mind if I ask what part of the country you lived in? North? South?

I remember spending hours getting to where I needed to go without any dependence upon anything other than a good old wrist watch!

Good old Timex....no power cords needed, nor recharging stations

And when you had to wait for transportation, you read the paper or a good book

Remember the old book carts at train stations, where you could borrow a book to read or donate one?

How about those magnificent news stands from back in the day?

You could get just about anything you might need in passing, such as chewing gum, or an outside shoe shine station near by

Northeastern Ohio.
And being right off Lake Erie, the summers were always very humid.

(So, till I was out of high school ('70s), it was normal to sweat all summer long and take lots of showers or go swimming, to try and get cooled off for abit. Imo, air conditioning was one of the best inventions ever! )

Some beautiful memories there.

The longer I live, the more I find myself missing that slower paced life, before all the technology.
It was just calmer, more peaceful, back then.

With technology, we've surely gained alot ... but we've lost alot, too.
I'm grateful for the happy memories of days gone by ...
