I don’t know the provenance of this infographic, but it's been circulated at our church. With Lent on its way, sharing it here seems timely.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wasn't aware of #3, how much do people usually give for these? And do you give it directly to the priest, or do you just put it in the tithe box/basket at church?

Around here, the tradition is to offer the priest a meal after doing a home blessing. But our priest has asked us not to offer that because he ends up eating too much in January.
I gave some cash directly to the priest and deacon when they performed the memorial service for my mom, but that was partly because she was buried in her hometown which was quite a drive away, and you know, used some gasoline up. They didn't ask for it, but I felt it was right to do.

I tell my people to centralize all food at a final potluck when I am at the last house for house blessings.Alas, too many of our priests here seem to have accepted every offer of food out of humility. Maybe we should offer them gym membership instead
