  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As the article mentions, Francis Collins initially seemed to be persuaded by
the Intelligent design arguments.

But recently, he has attacked Michael Behe's concept of irreducible complexity
in biological structures, and is seeming to backpedal on embracing the ID
arguments.

The article points out that Collins is not really dealing with the ID arguments of
Michael Behe, and Collins is referring to some outmoded scientific understandings
such as "junk DNA".

The article underlines that it is possible for even educated people to not quite
understand what the Intelligent Design authors are asserting, and for some people
to lean on outmoded scientific ideas to criticize the ID arguments.

Everything Collins does has payola written all over it. He is the one that removed the ban on high risk research. Taxpayers paid for the pandemic. Collins supposedly retired after that, but I think the Biden administration fired him. His books are designed to put money in his pocket as most books are. Heaven is all about doing what we enjoy and not doing to stuff pockets with money. I have always done what I enjoy doing and it does not matter if I get paid or not.

If you look at things like Evo Devo they do not even claim to be a part of Creationism. They want to appeal to a wider audience. I would discuss the 144,000 but I am sure that would open up a can of worms at this point in time. As people tend toward being antisemitic.
