It's a high school gym, with not over 1,000 in attendance and that's being generous, the entire West Allis Central High has 1,000 students
The number I gave you was reported by *FoxNews*. Do you think they are exaggerating for VP Harris?

Why would the gym size be the same as the size of the student body? When I was in HS, we had all school assemblies in the gym and it was never even close to full. If you go to the schools web page you would find that the gym's capacity is:

Home Court (capacity):

Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling - E.H. Stech Fieldhouse (3,500)

You mentioned the closed off ends behind the stage, which reduces capacity, but neglected to note the people on the court, which increases the capacity.

The event was moved to a larger venue because of the number of people who RSVPd they would attend.

Since it was in a USSS controlled environment, the number of people screened is known to them.
You will closely note that the dark navy blue curtain in your provided picture is at the half way point in the gym, telling the viewer that it's not a packed gym that holds 3,000 spectators, a wide angle lens can do magic for a photo op, good try no cigar

Question is will she pack out a stadium with 30,000+ with a line waiting outside, doubt it unless she gives away $50 campaign gift cards for a free dinner for attendance, smiles!

You are right in general. People can post their opinions. However, this particular forum has a specific rule. Here it is, is from the forum's Statement of Purpose:

The News & Current Events forum is for all members to discuss newsworthy events that are currently taking place in the world. All news and current events threads must be documented or validated with a link to a credible online news source (articles, not videos) in the original post (OP).
I hope this is useful.
Inapplicable. Truth7t7 did not post the OP. Truth7t7 is expressing opinions regarding the OP. Opinions do not require evidence unless they are clearly stated as fact, in which case they cease to be opinions. In other words, if someone says "red is a primary color" that is a fact, not an opinion. If someone says "red is an ugly color" that is an opinion, not a fact. Demanding that they provide evidence that red is an ugly color, is completely illogical and non sequitur (does not follow, makes no sense).

There is a reason the camera didn't turn around at her rally in Wisconsin showing the crowd size, possibly her and Joe Biden have something in common regarding rally size

I understand the rule as well as anybody.

I hope we can all stick to it.

I don't think you understand it at all. The rule addressees the original post that starts a thread in the News & Current Events subforum. Therefore the rule applies to FreeinChrist's initial post, not to Truth7t7's opinions.

Read on.

When you disagree with someone's position, you should post evidence and supporting statements for your position. This policy, sometimes referred to as "X means Y because of Z", must be followed especially when posting claims that are widely considered to be controversial.
I think the principle here is well understood. We should keep this courteous and offer support for controversial opinions, in keeping with this rule.

An opinion is not a claim. What's necessary is when stating your opinion, you make it clear that it is just your opinion. Take a lesson from the Dude:

Repeating a mistake doesn't correct it. You are still wrong. Very wrong. She wasn't connected to problems at the border. She was in charge of trying to solve the root problems within the countries from which the immigrants were coming. That has been explained to you in detail, with links. You have chosen to completely ignore the facts.

Keep repeating the same mistake and you will be corrected each time.
2021: Kamala has been put in charge of the border by Biden. She will deal with the crisis and enforce the law

2024: Kamala was never actually put in charge of anything, didn't have anything to do with the border, etc.

You really think the American public is going to believe this nonsense gaslighting. People are not that stupid

Well, I don't think you would risk any money on her saying those words, at any odds.

Syntactically, it is a correctly constructed sentence. Well done! Perhaps you should give Trump some lessons in English grammar.

Don't reporters go off on tangents all the time at press conferences?
They do. Trump wasn't responding to questions there. He was just doing what he always does - he was rambling incoherently from thought to half-digested thought.

I only posted these quotes as a response to the 'word salad' jibe at Kamala Harris. I prefer speeches to be focused and clear, though I don't think it is an election issue. Well constructed, articulate lies are still lies, as our erstwhile prime minister Boris Johnson has demonstrated.

I agree, they are not. The poster has made claims of fact without support. That's just, like, a fact, man.

an uncorroborated claim
Nearly every such accusation is uncorroborated. We know what liars these women are, is that it?

I believe that the vast majority of claims by women of sexual misconduct against them are true. (Kavanaugh is a Supreme Court Judge now, effectively beyond the law.

For those of you who are claiming Harris only job regarding the border was to address root causes its a good thing we have the Google way back machine.

Biden announced that her job was two fold.

A senior administration official said Harris' role would focus on "two tracks": both curbing the current flow of migrants and implementing a long-term strategy that addresses the root causes of migration. Cabinet members, including the secretary of state, are expected to work closely with Harris on these issues.

Biden said

Starting today the Northern Triangle nations and Mexico will know there is one senior official dedicated to this effort," a senior official said on a call with reporters. "She [the vice president] is really going to look at two tracks. She is going to work first on the goal of stemming the flow of irregular migrants to the US, but also at the same time, and as part of the broader context, her real goal is establishment of a strategic partnership with these countries that is based on respect and shared values."

Harris to lead administration's efforts to stem migration at border

It appears that she failed at both her assigned jobs.
