If we overthink -- or buy into all of the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) spread by multi-billion dollar industries that want us to eat their brand of "healthy" -- a "healthy" diet can become confusing. But, if we clear away the marketing messages and instead look at all the very good scientific and medical research that has been done, we can easily and clearly determine what is "healthy" and what is not. And yes, we can eat healthy food without spending a small fortune.

But going back to the context of the question from a Biblical perspective. If you are a gentile, as has been said there are no dietary restrictions...or are there? Way back in Genesis we see God forbade eating "meat with it's lifeblood still in it". This has been re-iterated in other places. So clearly we are not to drink blood or consume meat that is overly bloody (don't get legalistic here, use common sense and good judgement -- understanding most modern meat processing methods drain out the lifeblood). Meat that's been offered to idols? If you know, abstain. If you don't know, eat and enjoy (that's what the Bible says). However, Gentiles do not fall under the specific Jewish dietary laws, which is what the original question seems to pertain to.

Yet there are principals. Clearly we are supposed to take care of ourselves, and are told to avoid gluttony. Not in an over-zealous or legalistic way, but certainly in a God honoring way. So t seams right to eat a well balanced, healthy diet. If you don't know what this is, look for guidance from dietitians -- not nutritionists, dietitians. We all know highly processed and junk food is not healthy, so should be limited. We also know fresh food is far healthier, so should be our staple. We know so much about a healthy diet, it truly is easy to eat healthy if we want to.

As for the people who wonder about pricier organics. I'm sorry, but if you do your research you will quickly find the Organic industry has built and sustains itself on lies, deception, and spreading fear. I personally don't think Biblical principals allow supporting an industry like that. That is my personal conscience, you have to decide for yourself. But at least do the research so you will understand how that industry intentionally misrepresents facts. And how they make claims not only without evidence, but even contrary to evidence. After you see the truth of what the Organic industry does, then decide if you think supporting them aligns with Biblical values. I hasten to add the Bible does not say "don't do business with liars", it only says not to be a liar. So if you choose to buy Organic, as least don't repeat all the lies the industry tells while trying to get people to buy their product.

Anti-GMO lobbiests are a similar story, but at least that industry is not all about lies and deception. They are just about casting unfounded fear and doubt on scientists who develop new crop strains in new ways. You know, people who use their God given brains, ingenuity, and creativity to do things like make more nutritious rice, corn that is more resistant to pests, and all the other benefits GMO crops can provide. Don't take my word for it -- read the evidence! Again, at least the anti-GMO folks are not lying to us or trying to be deceptive. They are just spreading fear that is not backed by evidence.

I won't even get started with nutrition fads. If it's not balanced, and especially if buying into it makes people rich, beware.

But you know, we can find all these principals in the Bible. We know why the Organic industry does what it does. We know why those against GMO's do what they do. We know why the fad health plan folks do what they do. We even know why highly processed food and junk food has become a staple instead of an occasional enjoyment. Nothing is new under the sun.

You are not concerned when Jesus says: "

Matthew 7:23

And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

An elderly Rabbi once went into a non-kosher resturant,

also there was a group from the community and feeling a little out of place they were nonetheless curious .

So came the waiter with a big dish with a lid, he lifted the lid and under it was a pigs head with an äpple in its mouth.

The group stuttering tried to say something, the elderly Rabbi lifted his hand saying,

"Well there you go, I ordered a baked apple and this what I got".

My question is: What does it mean to be lawless? What is Jesus talking about in this verse? Because he does not say FEW, He says MANY, so He must be trying to tell us something.

nothing you eat will affect your relationship with God.
God loves us and He wants what is best for us. A lot of sickness comes from processed and fast food. We have an allowance. The government sets up guidelines for us. I am allowed 1,000 units of salt. That pretty much means no fast food and no processed food. Once my son got a meal that had 5000 units of salt in it. Are you saying we can disregard what the government is telling us?

At Sinai all spoke as in one voice......."We will do and we will hear".

And that is what it is about .........to do, and when done you will understand.

Torah is spiritual ,angels, other worlds/reaims.

613 mitzvot/connections. 248 positive related to number of limbs.

365 negative related to blood channels.

For a non- Jew I suspect there are no resrctions other than what was earlier mentioned, eating blood.

From a spiritual point of view...nothing you eat will affect your relationship with God.
That does not mean you can eat unhealthily and consume poison and expect it not to affect your health.
I went on to say:
"That does not mean you can eat unhealthily and consume poison and expect it not to affect your health."

However, Genesis is also a part of the Law given to Jews. It was not given to Gentiles. Nothing in the Old Testament was.

But its true that it was said also in the New Testament, when apostles in Jerusalem gave Gentiles some few instructions.

In part that is true. However, what I'm referencing is what God said prior to selecting the Jews to be a special people, separated to Him -- before the concept of Jew and Gentile was established by God. Remember that Noah was neither a Jew nor a Gentile. Which is why I find it relevant to myself, as a Gentile. And as you say, it was reiterated in other places as a universal for God's children, not as specific to Jews. Since most modern food does not contain blood (there are a few exceptions), it's more of a theoretical discussion than a practical one. However, it does have a relevant point -- God has indeed given us certain commandments, and He expects us to follow them. Not legalistically like the Pharisees, because somebody told us we are supposed to. Definitely not adding our "things" to what He has said. Rather because we love Him and we want to glorify Him. Because we understand He is our creator. Because we desire to be holy (set apart) to Him. He has made us holy, and we are to live holy. He tells us how to live a holy life, and He indwells us so we can live a holy life. Fortunately, His grace and His sacrifice on the cross cover the oh-so-many times we fall short and go against His will and His commandments.

I have specifically avoided talking about if Jews should still follow dietary regulations. Frankly, I have not studied deeply enough on this particular subject. Jews still are God's chosen people, different than Gentiles. We have Biblical passages that indicate dietary laws might have been abolished...however...in context those passages clearly are talking about Gentile people and using a strong allegory to demonstrate the grace God has extended to all. Fortunately, as a Gentile, I don't need to worry too much about it! My Jewish friends are much better equipped to study and wrestle with this, knowing the Holy Spirit will guide them as they seek (and find) truth in the Bible specific to their situation.

From the mystical to the practical, so to say.

Sea crreatures,
only those with both fins and scales.

Fins propell a fish forward they are the driving power, so too, ambition is what drives one forward.

S cales are for protection so too is integrity, both conbined is good,

One without the other, not so good.

Remember that Noah was neither a Jew nor a Gentile.
Everyone descended from Adam and Eve in Eden is "Jewish". Although I understand what you are saying that Judah was a descendant of Noah. Gentiles are not descended from the Adam in Eden. Everyone is descended from the Adam we read about in Chapter one. Even the Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. This is also what the science of DNA shows us. Of course the Y chromosome Aaron or the Cohan Gene is the most popular because it is the most pure. Still in Revelation we are told God has preserved 12,000 each from all 12 tribes. Not just Judah and Israel.
