His Second Coming will be just like the scriptures state…

Rev 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

His feet don’t touch the ground. This is very important because scripture indicates the devil will impersonate Jesus and will become an angel of light, but he can’t counterfeit God’s True Second Coming, so if we follow and know God’s Word, we won’t be deceived

1 Thes 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Acts 1:9-11 KJV
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

I believe in a literal second coming of Jesus Christ, but I don't know what it will look like. If I had to guess, it would look a lot like the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant.

Zechariah 14:4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. 5 You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!

6 In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle. 7 For it will be a unique day which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.

8 And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.

10 All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but Jerusalem will rise and remain on its site from Benjamin’s Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses. 11 People will live in it, and there will no longer be a curse, for Jerusalem will dwell in security.

Yes for being a literal second coming. What will it be like, well this coming will happen at the end of the 7 year tribulation. a time of great tribulation on the earth.

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Then
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

After Jesus returns He will judge the nations (gentiles believers and unbelievers) on how they treated the Jews during the tribulation. The believers will have helped the Jews during the tribulation and unbelievers would not have helped the Jews. So this will not be a judgement to see who is a believer and who is not.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Do you expect a literal second coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ?

I expect Matthew 25.

Shortly before he arrives (like now), there will be the harvests (nuclear wars). This the parable of the talents. Mr. 1-Talent doesn't feel like avoiding the harvests and gets tossed into hell. Interestingly, hell has the same symptoms as a fatal dose of radiation.

Next we shall see the fake Jesus arrive. He is the fake bridegroom in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. He will fool many who then take the mark.

Who is left to greet Jesus upon his arrival?

No Christians will be around, except for a few hiding in the wilderness. That is why the entire world mourns when they see Jesus arriving:

Matthew 24:30 "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

This is referring to the second resurrection after the 1000 years with the saints.

The first resurrection is for the saints

1 Thes 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for [a]a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

At the close of the 1,000 years the holy city, new Jerusalem Revelation 21:2 comes down from heaven to the earth with all the saints Zechariah 14:1, 5 and the wicked dead of all ages are raised to life Revelation 20:5. They surround the city to capture it Revelation 20:9, but fire comes down from out of heaven and devours them. This fire purifies the earth and burns up all traces of sin 2 Peter 3:10, Malachi 4:3. Then God creates a new earth 2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21:1 for the saints, and “God Himself will be with them and be their God” Revelation 21:3. God will wipe away all tears, no more sin or sinners, just the way God always planned it before the disease of sin entered.

Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before [c]God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second [death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Thanks. I take it, than, that you are a pre-Millenial Dispensationalist.

Perhaps consider instead of trying to place people in a box, show a biblical argument on how you disagree with the plain scriptures I provided.

I believe in one salvation- we are either saved or lost and scriptures shows what happens to both groups.

I think it will be cataclysmic.

For one thing the universe will disappear.

2 Peter 3:10 NIV - But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

Revelation 6:14 - The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

The authors of both 2 Peter and Revelation use similar imagery.

There will also be a lot of people by that time. Our current population is approaching 8 billion (7.9 billion) if it hasn't gotten there already, and it is estimated that 1117 billion people live or have lived on earth (so far). It makes sense then that the author of Revelation 7:9 wrote that "no one could count all the people".

Revelation 7:9 NIV "After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."

Calculating the number of people who have ever lived is part science and part art. No demographic data exist for more than 99% of the span of human existence. Still, with some assumptions about population size throughout human history, we can get a rough idea of this number: About 117 billion members of our species have ever been born on Earth.

They sure won't be standing on an earthly plain. It will have disappeared, having served its purpose. This universe adds up to nothing anyway and will disappear when God decides it's time is up.

I therefore believe in a literal second coming, date and time completely unknown except by the Father. If God the Father didn't even told the Son, He's certainly not going to tell us.

Matthew 24:36 NIV "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

Do you expect a literal second coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ?
Indeed, I do!
If you do, what do you anticipate it being like?
I expect
all eyes to see him coming on the clouds (Ac 1:9, 11),
a loud command, I suspect to raise the dead (Jn 5:28, 11:43),
the voice of the archangel, to summon the saints to meet the Lord in the air (1 Th 4:17), and return with him to earth,
the trumpet call of God, to summon into God's presence for judgment (1 Th 4:16), as in Ex 19:16-17, Hos 5:8, Am 2:2,
to be with Jesus forever (1 Th 4:7).

Something along those lines. . .

I don't disagree with you. I happen to be a pre-millenial Dispensationalist myself. If you don't like the label, then you probably will need to provide evidence that it does not actually apply to you.

Funny, I went to post this here The Second Coming of Christ (Billy Sunday)

And I saw this thread.
To answer, we shall see Jesus in His glory, and with the sounds of heaven, the shout, the voice of the archangel, the trump of God, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
