He publicly denied a need to repent for anything prior to his election, and he gave zero signs of changing this belief and mindset since. I'm just going with the information he provided to the public, and what the Gospel teaches.

But people learn and grow and change. Otherwise none of us would ever come to Jesus. His relationship with the Lord is personal. It would be great if he made a public testimonial of his salvation but his salvation isn't dependent on it.

His salvation doesn't depend upon whether I know about it, but for me to believe that it took place, I need to see evidence of it.

You have a point that to be remembered in the history books as a "Christian" president he would by necessity have to state for the record he is a Christian.

I did notice him praying with faith leaders and hoped for him that he was saved but I couldnt make a case one way or the other based on any irrifutable evidence. I can only hope he was lead by the spirit and brought to salvation.

Well, it sounds as though about 70% of the population wants RVW to stay in place.

I imagine if this ends up being enough to get people out to vote, there could be some significant problems for Republicans. If Democrats use that as the wedge issue.

It depends on 2 things...

How poorly left activists behave.
How well the Republicans can articulate the issue.

As far as I'm concerned, abortion is murder. But this isn't about my sense of morality.

The proper way to force all states to recognize the legality of the practice of abortion including parameters and limitations it would need to be legislated. There really is no good evidence that abortion is already addressed constitutionally and according to the tenth amendment it is therefore up to the States. For that reason Roe v Wade was a bad judicial decision that needed, on legal grounds, to be over turned.

Not really our place to judge his salvation. He clearly demonstrated some ignorance of Christian philosophy but luckily that is not what saves or damns a person. He was Christian friendly which is something positive but doesn't tell us whether or not he confessed, repented, and submitted to Jesus. That's about all he really needs to understand to be saved. No way for us to know unless he publicly proclaims it. Even that isn't proof and only God really knows the truth.
We'll know them by their fruits. We are not judging his salvation. Only making an observation of a Christian lifestyle.

When was the last time Donald did something beneficial and didn't make a public show of it? If Donald ever had a "Road to Damascus" moment, he would've made a spectacle of it.

Not to say he isn't a Christian -- he says he's one because the IRS is persecuting him, and forum rules say that's all it takes.

But as Donald is no ordinary Christian, but has, as has been noted, been credited as your religion's literal Savior, then should Roe v Wade be overturned, then it would be right to give him thanks and praise.

...and there's no reason not to get an early start on that, is there?

I can't speak for the rest of the world's Christians, but seeing how many in America imitate Donald's behavior and mannerisms more than The Other Fellow's, I'd say that Donald's has become the Christian lifestyle.

That's an odd and hate filled comment at best.

It's an odd and hate filled world we live in... "hate" being the coin of the realm. The Other Fellow once said that "we will know them by their fruits," and there are some mighty strange fruits around here.

He also warned that "no man can serve two masters." One calls upon us to love all... another doesn't even need you to love him; just to hate what he hates. Speaking as an outside observer, I'm seeing which one's the role model...

You are anything but an observer. But this will be my last post post. There aren't enough hours in the day to bandy words with somebody who is only here to be an instigator. I don't know if you are paid to do this or just lonely and angry but I will pray for you either way, then move on.

Agreed -- I would expect to see a manifest change on Donald's behavior that would indicate some sort of spiritual awakening.
In the time he was in the public eye, his behavior only changed for the worse. Has the trend reversed?

It's not hate. It's like when someone you loved, suddenly dumps you and starts sleeping with another guy you despise. You don't hate her, but the confusion and pain is as acute as it can get. You might be friends, but you'll never take her back again. And that guy, you hate.

One of the most important doctrine of Christianity is that one must ask forgiveness from God. But when reporter ask Trump if he asked God for forgiveness , this is Trump’s answer

"I am not sure I have," Trump said when asked if he'd ever asked God for forgiveness. "I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't."

Donald Trump says he’s never had to ask God for forgiveness — Evangelicals For Biden

So my question to all Christian , a guy who says he is not sure he ever asked God for forgiveness, how can he be Christian? Last time I checked appointing Christian judges in SCOTUS doesn’t make anyone Christian.

if Roe is overturned or severely limited? Note, I ask this as someone who did not support him, as I have voted Third Party since 2000. Still, I wonder if Trump becomes effectively responsible for saving the lives of millions of unborn babies in the coming decades, by a reversal of Roe vs Wade, could what one politician called him, "the most Christian President ever", end up becoming at least partially true? You know, it would be very strange if a man who apparently told more lies as President than almost any of his predecessors, and who did not take the pandemic seriously at first, and spoke ill of the dead when he trashed John McCain, and made fun of a disabled man while at a GOP Presidential Primary campaign stop and so on and so on..... ends up saving the lives of an untold number of unborn babies.

One of for sure.. already is. IF roe got over turned.. by GOD and GOD alone gets the glory and then oh .. all those that have been praying for so many years now.. thats why.

And yet Donald will demand the glory -- and there will be no shortage of Christians eager to give it to him...

What would actually happen if Roe v. Wade is overturned?

"If Roe v. Wade is one day overturned, abortion will not become illegal throughout the entire United States. Each state in the union would revert back to its own individual laws regarding abortion, which is why numerous states have passed “trigger laws” ensuring abortion will remain legal there if Roe is overturned."

woman will just cross states
Don't worry I'm sure the pro-birth states will make it a criminal act to travel for the purpose of committing 'murder'.
