I have a hard time believing that God will revoke a person’s calling. I backslid quite a bit in some pretty bad ways when I first came to Christ. So I don’t know, perhaps a person would have to be downright evil in order for Him to turn them over to a depraved mind like the people Paul mentioned in Romans 1:28. It’s hard to say for sure.
2 Peter 1:10-11 (WEB)
10 Therefore,
brothers and sisters, be
more diligent to make your calling and election sure.
For if you do these things, you will
never stumble. 11 For
thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:21 (WEB) 21

Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching.
Continue in these things, for in doing this you will
save both yourself and those who hear you.

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and
follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 12
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end, 15 while it is said,
“
Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” [Psalm 95:7-8]

5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater,
has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. 6
Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. 7
Therefore do not be partakers with them.

not be harmed by the second death.

Notice the believer is responsible for His faith - from beginning to end - to be saved eternally.
Romans 1:16-17 (WEB) 16 For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God
for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. 17 For in it is revealed God’s righteousness
from faith to faith. As it is written, “
But the righteous shall live by faith.” []Habakkuk 2:4]
By a continuous faith in Lord Jesus, we are drinking of His Spirit. As we drink of the Spirit, we are given Spiritual life in the Spirit who indwells the believer. To these only does God grant eternal life.

within him will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But
he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive.

13 Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but
whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him
will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
Therefore, to remain or abide in Christ, or to continue to receive the life of the Spirit, we must be careful to remain faithful to Lord Jesus or we will be cut off.
John 15:1-4 (WEB) “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 2

Remain in me, and I in you.

19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” 20 True;
by their unbelief they were broken off, and
you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited,
but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 See then the
goodness and
severity of God. Toward
those who fell, severity; but
toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness;
otherwise you also will be cut off.
