Thank you so much for making me do the research.

These without ears have even their calling removed by the enemy... why don't they have ears?
Those who do have ears seem to've had John 15 fruits... for a while.
So it's Jesus' Disciples who got purged by the Father.

John 15:2 Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.

purgeth = καθαίρει
Cognate: 2508 kathaírō – make clean by purging (removing undesirable elements); hence, "pruned (purged)"; eliminating what is fruitless by purifying (making unmixed). See 2513 (katharos).
Strong's Greek: 2508. καθαίρω (kathairó) -- to cleanse

I have a hard time believing that God will revoke a person’s calling. I backslid quite a bit in some pretty bad ways when I first came to Christ. So I don’t know, perhaps a person would have to be downright evil in order for Him to turn them over to a depraved mind like the people Paul mentioned in Romans 1:28. It’s hard to say for sure.

Parables had an element of judgment in them for unbelieving Israel:

"
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."—Matthew 3

Knowing this, why would the Body of Christ be looking at parables for doctrine? We are insiders and have THIS:

"Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"—Ephesians 3

Many of Jesus’ teachings came in parables he often used them as illustrations. John 15 is considered a parable, spoken only to His 11 faithful apostles.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

From the Kingdom Gospel Perspective

John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
katharos = clean, clear, pure.

Here, it's a process involving works: Abide, stay, continue, persevere, be faithful.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.
hagiazo = to make holy, purify or consecrate, sanctify.

It's entirely different in the grace gospel, isn't it?

I don’t know what the difference is between “grace gospel” and “kingdom gospel”. To me there’s only one gospel that includes both grace and the kingdom. I’ve never separated or distinguished between the two.

2 Peter 1:10-11 (WEB)
10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. 11 For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:21 (WEB) 21 Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

1 Timothy 4:1 (WEB) 1 But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons

1 Timothy 4:16 (WEB)
16 Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

1 Timothy 6:10-12 (WEB)
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:18-19 (WEB)
18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share; 19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

1 Timothy 6:20-21 (WEB) 20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge, 21 which some profess, and thus have wandered from the faith.

James 1:12-16 (WEB)
12 Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

Hebrews 4:1 (WEB)
Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

Hebrews 4:11 (WEB)
11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Hebrews 3:13-15 (WEB)
13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end, 15 while it is said,
Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” [Psalm 95:7-8]

Hebrews 10:35-38 (WEB)
35 Therefore do not throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. 36 For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise

Luke 21:19 (WEB) 19 “By your endurance you will win your lives.

Romans 8:16 (WEB) 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; 17 and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

Galatians 6:9 (WEB) 9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up.

Ephesians 4:5-7 (WEB)
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

Revelation 2:10-11 (WEB) 10 Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes will not be harmed by the second death.

Revelation 3:4-5 (WEB) 4 Nevertheless you have a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 3:11-12 (WEB)
11 I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

Revelation 3:21 (WEB)
21 He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 21:7 (WEB)
7 He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.
Notice the believer is responsible for His faith - from beginning to end - to be saved eternally.

Romans 1:16-17 (WEB) 16 For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. 17 For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.” []Habakkuk 2:4]

By a continuous faith in Lord Jesus, we are drinking of His Spirit. As we drink of the Spirit, we are given Spiritual life in the Spirit who indwells the believer. To these only does God grant eternal life.

John 7:37-39 (WEB)
37 Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! 38 He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive.

John 4:13-14 (WEB)
13 Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Therefore, to remain or abide in Christ, or to continue to receive the life of the Spirit, we must be careful to remain faithful to Lord Jesus or we will be cut off.

John 15:1-4 (WEB) “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I in you.

Romans 11:19-22 (WEB)
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” 20 True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

Blessings

Yes, I understand your concern. And you are right, we are sanctified through cooperation with the Holy Spirit. The power to live a sanctified life is by the Holy Spirit, but it all happens because of faith (a continuous faith) in Lord Jesus.

Acts 26:17-18 (WEB) 17 delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you, 18 to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Through the Gospel Message, when we believe, we are turned from darkness to light (John 8:12; John 12:46), from the power of Satan to God – sanctified by faith in Lord Jesus.

But only as the believer continues in the faith demonstrated by living, walking, and sowing to the Spirit who indwells them by faith (Romans 8:12-13; Galatians 6:7-9; Galatians 5:24-25):

Galatians 5:24-25 (WEB) 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

So, by means of the Spirit, we (those who believe) are responsible to sanctify ourselves to God:

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 (WEB)
3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God, 6 that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified. 7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

Blessings

I don’t know, I just can’t bring myself to say that I sanctify myself. I don’t think it’s something we do I think it’s something that happens to us as we submit ourselves to God. As we allow the Spirit to work in us we become sanctified by His guidance. I mean no disrespect friend but God is sanctified without us but we can’t be sanctified without Him. Our sanctification can only come from Him so He is the source that we receive our sanctification from. That’s what I believe.

Therefore, to remain or abide in Christ, or to continue to receive the life of the Spirit, we must be careful to remain faithful to Lord Jesus or we will be cut off.

We will be cut off from Christ yes but I don’t see anything about us not being able to repent and be joined to Him again.

“But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?”

To be sanctified is to be holy.

Sanctification (holiness) is to be set part onto God from sinful passion, and into a righteous life.

The Scriptures actually do teach us that God commands us to be sanctified before Him. Yes, the believer is sanctified by walking in His Spirit. God does do this sanctifying work in those who commit to living sanctified lives onto Him, but the responsibility to be sanctified remains with the believer.

1 Peter 1:13-18 (WEB)
13 Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
14 as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,
15 but just as He who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;
16 because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.” [Leviticus 11:44-45 17] If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear

Galatians 5:24-25
(WEB)
24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

Romans 6:19-23 (ESV)
19 For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 (WEB) 3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God, 6 that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified. 7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. 8 Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

2 Timothy 2:19 However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.” 20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor. 21 If anyone therefore purges himself from these (unrighteousness), he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.

Hebrews 12:14-15 (WEB)
14 Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, 15 looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God

I agree. However, there comes a time when someone rejects God long enough, or one who was in the faith deliberately rejects God for living in sin, that God will harden them, putting a delusion over them so they cannot repent again onto salvation.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 (NIV) 10 They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Romans 1:22-26 (WEB) 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves; 25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.

John 12:37-40 (WEB) 37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him, 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke,
“Lord, who has believed our report?
To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” [Isaiah 53:1]
39 For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again,
40 “He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.” [Isaiah 6:10]

2 Timothy 2:24-26 (WEB) 24 The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient, 25 in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.

Hebrews 3:12-15 (WEB) 12 Beware, brothers and sisters, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; 13 but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest anyone of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end, 15 while it is said,
Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” [Psalm 95:7-8]

I don’t see these as an example of a loss of God’s calling. I believe God calls everyone at some point in their life, not exactly sure when that happens, but I don’t think the calling ever ceases.

God calls people all the time, for God desires all to be saved. I don't believe God waits for some mysterious time in which to call someone.

It is not that God is waiting to call someone at the right time; but rather, is that person ready to listen to the Gospel invitation, and then receive the salvation God offers all people.

Psalms 25:8-9 (WEB)
8 Good and upright is Yahweh,
therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.
9 He will guide the humble in justice.
He will teach the humble his way.

Many of Jesus’ teachings came in parables he often used them as illustrations. John 15 is considered a parable, spoken only to His 11 faithful apostles.‬‬

Okay, since you aren’t going to accept the Lord's testimony on that one…once more, with feeling:

“To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’—Matt. 13

That was to fulfill prophecy regarding God's hardening of the nation of Israel in general for their continual refusal of His grace, except for a remnant who were humble and willing to listen.

Romans 11:25 (WEB) 25 For I do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in

Israel, as a whole, had become disobedient; yet, God was merciful to them for hundreds of years, urging them to repent, so God would bless them.

Romans 10:21 (WEB) 21 But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.[”Isaiah 65:2].

“stretched out my hands” indicates God’s patience and continued urging the wicked in Israel to repent through the prophets God sent to them, and through the working of His Holy Spirit. But many resisted the enlightening work of God through His Spirit and Word.

When Lord Jesus ministry was taking place, God had determined to hide the grace of salvation from them, lest they should hear and see and be saved.

If Christ was diligent to fulfill prophecy by hiding the Gospel, and who he was, from the Jews in riddles and parables (Matthew 13:10-13) in judgment for their callous hearts toward God and His grace (Mark 4:10-12, John; 12:37-40), that means they could have been saved if Lord Jesus had fully explained it to them as He did to His Disciples. No special enabling.

Concealing the truth from the Jews was deliberate because of their refusal of God's grace offered to them for so long.

This hardening against Israel by God worked to bring about salvation to the Gentiles, who would listen.

Acts 28:28 (WEB) 28 “Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.

purgeth = καθαίρει

I didn't say God revoked their calling. I said this:
"These without ears have even their calling removed by the enemy."

____________
This is an edit, because even I forgot what I actually said. ;)
But I did find this because of that... so thank you. :)

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me.
helkuo = drag, draw, root: take for oneself

The added word [men] doesn't belong there. The Earth literally became His. The sentence has yet to be carried out. So, this is the other half of the verse where Jesus says the prince of this world has been judged.

I could be wrong but "Earth" would be neuter or feminine gender and should be singular, as in one earth.

The word used for "all" is accusative (direct object) masculine and plural.

Seem to me that "all" being masculine, is referring to mankind.

And since "all" is plural, it is referring to more than one - meaning all mankind.

The Greek word is Ge or Gaia or Gaea... mother earth in Pelasgian legend.

Perhaps but I haven’t seen conclusive evidence either way. I believe He does call everyone but I’m not sure exactly when that happens.

“To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’—Matt. 13

That’s a really bad translation your using there.

“Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:11-13‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Your translation doesn’t accurately translate what Jesus said. He spoke to these people in parables so that those who do not want to hear will not understand. Watch closely to His quote of Isaiah.

“In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘You will keep on hearing, but will not understand; You will keep on seeing, but will not perceive; For the heart of this people has become dull, With their ears they scarcely hear, And they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they would see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, And understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:14-15‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

This is what He meant when He said “He who has ears let Him hear. This means to those who want to hear let them understand. To those who have hardened their heart and don’t want to listen they will not be permitted to understand. He didn’t say you are permitted to understand but for others they are in parables. That’s just a bad translation and I’ll give you an example why.

John 15:1-6 is this a parable? Was anyone present who was not permitted to understand? Jesus often used parables as illustrations for people to relate to. He did not only use parables when He was hiding a message from skeptics.

Oh I’m sorry I misread that. Yes I completely agree that the enemy can blind people who aren’t willing to hear God’s words.

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Why is everything that Jesus said we must do in order to receive salvation except believing considered legalism to you? I

When you turn the offer of the FREE Gift of Salvation, into, "the false gospel of im earning it, and keeping it by SELF", then you contradict the Grace of God.
