I hope this is the right place to post this, I want everyone to be able to respond.

I am a big fan of the Marvel movies and the Shows and have been watching WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Solider. I began to wonder today what would happen to Christianity if the blip or Snap were real.

Here you have five years were half the population of Earth disappeared, not just people but everything. As a thought experiment I placed myself there where that happened in real life and I would question were God was. I am sure that some would think the rapture happened and felt Left Behind.

My question thusly: What do you think would happen to Christianity if the snap was real?

To answer in a bit more detail - for a start I don't think anything like a "Snap" is going to happen, where half the population is going to suddenly disappear.

If it did, then I suppose I'd have to pay lip service to "The Rapture". But I don't believe in the Rapture - I think it's a load of codswallop, a house of cards built up around a distorted interpretation of a single Bible verse.

I think it's far more likely that Rapture believers are going to be disillusioned, particularly if God allows dire disasters to happen eg. nuclear war, such that the "living will envy the dead". As they spent their days living in a dismal, subsistence, underground culture, they'd be wondering when the God of the 'deux ex machina' was going to deliver them.

And it wouldn't happen.
