You are correct. If I do something for my glory, it’s not glorifying. I’m just me, and I’m a sinner not worthy of glory. But what if God glorifies His Son? What if the Spirit makes Christ look big? What if the Father is honored by the Son? That’s perfection glorifying perfection. That’s sinlessness glorifying sinlessness. If you do something to be glorified it's of no glory. Striving to do things that is worthy to be glorified for is another matter. In Romans 2:7 worthy of glory is like you say Quasiblogo, honoring Christ, so seek the glory that comes from honoring Christ, but don't honor Christ for your own glory. Honoring Christ is put in opposition of not honoring truth. We do not honor Christ for our own glory, but for His glory.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
— John 16:13-14
Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,
