Of course you'd think when so many senators and representatives are present inside at an event like a presidential confirmation it might be better to have a wider perimeter around the building made secure, given the size of the building, especially when something had been bruing online? It is after all your seat of government!!

If the best one can do to try and minimize a right-wing terrorist attack on the US Capitol is ask questions they don't know the answer to, perhaps the best option would be to just stop trying to minimize a right-wing terrorist attack on the US Capitol.

Yes, they sat in the lobby. They did not "take it over". Not in the same way they took over the CHOP. As I said they abandoned the east precinct. The police asked us if we could remote wipe their devices but they ended up just pulling out all the equipment. Several of my coworkers went and helped with the tear down.
