Paul Batura: God and our election: What role did He play?
And right now, that frustration is leaving many of the nearly 73 million Americans who voted to reelect President Trump down in the dumps, along with the president himself, who refuses to concede defeat to President-elect Joe Biden until Trump says he is assured every legal vote has been counted and every illegal ballot discarded.

When these types of things occur, especially when we’ve been praying for the opposite result, many of us turn our eyes heavenward and ask: Dear Lord, how could you allow this to happen?

Da 5:21 | ....... till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

Da 4:32 | And they shall drive thee from men, ..... until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Da 4:17 | This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Je 27:5 | I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

Ps 83:18 | That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, Art the most high over all the earth.

Great and small they rise and fall, but the LORD, He is God forever!!

God's will isn't always ours, and sometimes HE gives people exactly what they want.

We are the minority here, us 73 million and our families. Maybe he's giving the other half over to their sin, knowing that His people can do what's right... and what's right, what job God gave us to do, is preach the Gospel to the lost and be His witness, and His light on earth in this world of men.

As some have said....it's not over yet Mountainmanbob.

Obviously two possibilities. Trump will win or Trump will lose.

If a Christian is prone to think it's all over....Trump's done and defeated, remember the story of Samson. His enemies laughed and mocked him believing they had finally defeated him. But then God.....you know the rest. What his enemies thought was solid and secure came crashing down. Maybe the election results could do the same? Not saying they will but we'll see. And you know the story of Moses, Egyptians and the Red Sea? Hopeless and a defeated people? But then God.....you know the rest.

One thing I find absolutely peculiar in all this, you've asked has God been involved. To see this Conservative judge put on the Supreme Court a mere few days before the election....maybe that should tell us something of Providence being involved? What if the election issue goes to the SC and the new judge is a part of deciding who won the election? I could be wrong but I tend not to think that's coincidence. A secular minded person thinks everything is coincidental but even they if they gave it some thought would have to conclude that yes...it really is peculiar.

So what IF Biden does become the next President. Should Christians be rocked by it and become disillusioned? Most certainly not. We keep our eyes not on earthly kingdoms anyway and God can even change the way of thinking of those in power. We see that with Joseph and the Pharaoh of Egypt, Daniel and the King of that Empire. We shouldn't be thinking God is limited to playing a nine inning game.....meaning the election is over God's hands are tied until 2024. I think God would say I'm not bound by the inning length of your games. I think he could say I'm the God who can go into overtime anytime I want. Keep encouraged MB. :)

Now, the question in the title is not what "role" God played, but "what roll"?

God can play a roll of toilet paper, indeed, and get His tune out of it.

But what a number of people did was merely hoard their toilet paper!

God makes use of what He's got, great or little.

Possibly, He used a great big roll of voting ballot paper to let people see they do not really have control.

Ones human do not . . . can not . . . agree. In the present democracy in the United States, there is pretty much a fifty-fifty split, and this has been going on for a while, it seems from what I have read.

People can get convinced of exact opposite things, and both be wrong or both only partly right.

One deception I see is how ones are emotionally depending on and putting their hope in a certain candidate, instead of first trusting God and knowing He now is sharing His own good with anyone who is obeying Him . . . proving Himself to be our real and only right King . . . ruling us in His own peace in our hearts > Colossians 3:15.

But ones are claiming Donald is a great person, the only right one to fight for America . . . even though it is written how the LORD fights our battles > Exodus 14:14 < by the way. But if a person is of God, God will keep bringing that person to be more and do much more and better than whatever he or she has already done. Even if the person is dumped by humans . . . it is like how ones crucified Jesus and then Jesus rose to do so much more and better.

So, in case Donald were of God, he could be dumped by voters and then God will use him to do so much more and better than whatever he has done while presiding in the United States. Because God keeps giving increase.

And in case Donald were to be a hoax, you a Christian can do more in a day, than all he has done or has been capable of thinking of doing.

"'In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.'" (Genesis 22:18)

If we simply obey God who is all-loving, we are guaranteed His all-loving results.

However, there are ones who have not been all-caring in their choosing of candidates, plus they have been depending on a false hope < this is the biggest problem . . . maybe.

Jesus rules the nations from the right hand of God the father. He chooses the civil magistrates, not us.
