Preoccupied by aliens is more like it. It all started with a Netflix documentary about a very credible sounding engineer who claims he was employed in Area 51 and was hired to study the propulsion system of an alien ship. His explanation of the propulsion system sounded so credible that it's hard to discredit what he is saying. The GOVT denies he was every employed but he has proof of his employment. Here's the trailer of the Bob Lazar documentary:

Now the US, under cover of COVID, is quietly declassifying footage of what appears to be alien ships 'UFO' videos declassified by US Navy | Space

As a Christian I'm inclined to believe these aliens are maybe demons and /or angels. Is that possible to justify aliens as the angels and demons in scripture. Thinking of controversial subjects like the Nephilim (angels mating with human women) Exekiel taking off in a 'chariot of fire' visions of wheels in wheels etc. The non canonized book of Enoch where its supposed to describe flights in a spacecraft. Would angels or demons have need of material ships with gravity drives made out of an element not even found on earth (according to the aforementioned Bob Lazar documentary.

Just to speculate, we used to do a lot of nuclear testing in the Nevada desert area. . What if we unwittingly blew one of these ships out of the sky? Could a ship piloted by demons even be shot out of the sky? and could a demon even die? How can a Christian reconcile alien visitations?

Spiritual beings do not need ships or propulsion systems.

If you've ever written or read science fiction, there is almost always a way to make something sound so plausible--even something such as time travel--that the average layman will think 'wow, can we really do that?'.

The most likely scenario is that no, there aren't any downed space craft. We haven't been visited by aliens. And demons don't need flying machines, so I think we can safely dismiss that idea pretty much entirely as wonk

Instead, the most likely explanation is that some people are lying, some people are mistaken, and some people might have mental health problems.

I don't even dispute the possibility of alien life somewhere, I just don't consider the visiting of alien life to our planet to be credible.

Harvard Scientists Begin Experiment To Block Out The Sun

A group of Harvard scientists plans to tackle climate change through geoengineering by blocking out the sun. The concept of artificially reflecting sunlight has been around for decades, yet this will be the first real attempt at controlling Earth's temperature through solar engineering.

The project, called Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), will spend $3 million to test their models by launching a steerable balloon in the southwest US 20 kilometers into the stratosphere. Once the balloon is in place, it will release small particles of calcium carbonate. Plans are in place to begin the launch as early as the spring of 2019.

The basis around this experiment is from studying the effects of large volcanic eruptions on the planet's temperature. In 1991, Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines erupted spectacularly, releasing 20 million tonnes of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere. The sulfur dioxide created a blanket around Earth's stratosphere, cooling the entire planet by 0.5 °C for around a year and a half.

As scientists, governmental agencies around the world, and environmental groups grow increasingly worried of our collective ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and curb climate change, the idea of geoengineering a solution has become more accepted. The ultimate goal is to reduce the warming on Earth. This can be done by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, sucking CO2 from the atmosphere, or limiting the sunlight that reaches Earth's surface.

The first two methods are actively discussed and implemented to various degrees. The recent commitment of G20 members (with the United States as the sole rejector) to the Paris Agreement will act to solve the source of the problem by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Sucking CO2 from the atmosphere and locking it away in Earth's crust, called CO2 sequestration, has been implemented and deployed. For instance, Royal Dutch Shell has built large carbon sequestration facilities with the Canadian and Australian governments.

The third method, blocking out sunlight has been controversial in the scientific community for decades. The controversy lies in the inability to fully understand the consequences of partially blocking out sunlight. A reduction in global temperature is well understood and expected, however, there remain questions around this method's impact on precipitation patterns, the ozone, and crop yields globally.

Any alien spacecraft using science we are familiar with could be detected by our astronomical telescopes and heat detecting equipment. Any alien spacecraft would not be able to hide in the solar system.

If there was one there would be numerous photos, articles, science analysis etc of it plus you tube clips of it.
Any alien spacecraft using science we cannot detect we would not know it was here and the question would have to be asked why would any aliens with science that makes us look like we're in the stoneage be bothering playing with us?

The pentagon is actually admitting the existence of these ships apparently. This isn't fringe fake news. These and similar stories are making FOX news and CNN. Nobody seems to be paying attention. Here's a link from FOX News itself.

This is what is so intriguing. Spoiler Alert: The description of the propulsion system in the Netflix doc describes a system based on the ability to create a gravitational field around the ship and to magnify it so that the ship itself is drawn/propelled into the very field that it is creating thru gravitational attraction. (Sort of how we can create electromagnetic fields and amplify them. ) It's not some fuel burning propulsion system.

Who knows? Maybe they want our natural resources. Maybe God will use them on what could be the fast approaching Day of the Lord the way He used Babylon to exact judgement against Judah and Tyre. Maybe they were alerted to us by our Nuclear Testing in the 40's.

Even if they would not need, they could have. As the Bible tells, they have been quite physical, because could have children with humans.

Obviously, this depends on what is meant with demon. If they are fallen angels, maybe this answer to the question how they could die:

"You are gods, All of you are sons of the Most High. Nevertheless you shall die like men, And fall like one of the rulers."
Psalms 82:6-7

I don’t believe aliens (if they are not angels/demons) have visited earth.

If one has the ability to travel across the universe what is easier to exploit an unihabited planet or to learn a language, culture, find tradable goods and open negotiations with he various governments on an inhabited planet?

As for aliens and judgement, picture an alien stepping out of his lander and announcing, " Please tell us about Jesus? "

I don't know what those film clips show, but if ' alien space craft' have been studied for years then where are the research papers, the developments in unusual technology etc etc etc

No matter how advanced once they have there hands on it scientists and engineers will be able to reverse engineer it and exploit it commercially.

Ships? No. Unidentified flying things? Yeah. Everybody knows that anyway. F-117 was once a UFO. Internally lighted airships are often UFOs. Neither is a "ship", or a flying saucer, or a vehicle for either spacemen or demons. Hint: if anyone says "it defied/appeared to defy the laws of Physics", it didn't. The laws of Physics were established by God. Did it appear to defy those laws? Maybe. I can make my car appear on police radar as moving in excess of 300 mph. (You could do it as well, but if the FCC catches you at it a traffic ticket will be the least of your problems.) Appearances are often deceiving.

Evidence for existence of spacemen, with or without flying saucers - zero. Evidence that demons drive flying saucers - zero. Evidence that people misidentify things, especially when doing so is cool, or more especially, when the government has spent vast sums of your money to make things unidentifiable - metric tons of it.

This isn't fringe fake news.

When you started indentifying the unidentified stuff that the Navy published as "ships" it became false news.

These and similar stories are making FOX news and CNN. Nobody seems to be paying attention.

Standard science fiction trope. If your story requires your ship to travel interstellar distances, you have to use magic, but you can't call it that. So it's a gravitic drive like David Weber's Impeller Drive (which is dead cool, and actually contributes a lot to his stories), Alderson Tramlines, as in Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle's CoDominium stories, Star Trek's Warp Drive, Doc Smith's Inertialess Drive (which also made a good story in itself), the ever popular Worm Hole, and many other ways go get the characters in the story to where the writer wants the story to happen. None of them are real, although there is some theoretical basis for the Alderson Tramlines.

Just as though gravity was an electro-magnetic force, which it isn't.

It's not some fuel burning propulsion system.

Or any other kind, either.
