PS: @Heavenhome As mentioned recently, seeing as you say you developed a fascination with "Inkmasters" and have become a genuine recognizer of good tattoo artwork, then when your younger sister, who you said has loads of tattoos, goes to parlors you could always I suppose go with her for the purposes of artwork appreciation, telling her in advance that this is why you as an artistically fulfilled woman are going and not for acquiring ink. There's absolutely no obligation in looking at parlor portfolios; your sister would know that; and she would also know where the parlors are, to go to, I expect.

No, but I can appreciate others reasons.:)

I also come to think that as far as a witnessing tool, nowadays when people are often "gagged" about expressing their faith, it can be a quiet way to identify as a Christian.

Exactly; for a lot of Christians, going to the parlor likely gives enormous satisfaction in feeling really good as a witness getting inked up with a proven effective faith design.

(I understand of course that it wouldn't make you feel really good, but it likely does to a lot of Christians.)

Now the tattoo mags are going out of business, etc.
@Michie PS: Do you think that potential models for tattoo magazines are charging too high fees? or do you reckon the the problem was in the budgeting and marketing side of the publications? Sponsorship possibilities are an obvious solution, of course, although these would need to fit into the broader state of 'health' of the tattoo industry as a whole.

Hi @KiranLee Following on from the recent discussion on other threads, take for example the tasteful artistic aspect of simple, modest jewelry.

Some ppl can go 'over the top' and be really flamboyant. But a lot of Christians would in simplicity appreciate the tasteful, artistic value of small items of jewelry: maybe pendant, earrings, etc. that is consistent with the principles of modesty.

(Food for thought...)

I personally have two tattoos. I like to think of it like this, my body is a canvas but also the temple of the Holy Spirit so I get tattoos that are meaningful to me and to proclaim my faith. My youth pastor is covered in body ink, are you going to deny someone in the church if they are covered in tattoos? Everyone has their opinion though!
Well, yes they do!

@Aussie Pete FYI, did you see this thread that someone recently started? You said this not long ago:
Some less kind souls call them "tramp stamps" when a woman gets a tattoo. Me, I dislike them but I don't think it's a spiritual issue.
Clearly ppl are entitled to their opinions of course; it does seem like many serious-minded Christian women now get themselves inked up with faith based designs.

It's just not my thing. My dad was Royal Navy and had a lot of tattoos. Maybe that put me off for life!

I have no idea. Often they are wrapped in plastic so you cannot thumb through them. They are often 20-22.00 bucks per issue. It is a very specific market they are catering to...maybe they are saving for the next tattoo! Lol! *I’m joking* ;)

I find you fascinating farouk. And I’m being serious on that one.

Now you have to admit...not everything on Inkmasters is good. You know they got rid of that Chris guy didn’t you?
