From the "Criminal prosecutions commence", files: IG Report: To Spy On Trump FBI Doctored Evidence To Falsely Paint Carter Page As Russian Spy

A wide-ranging investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general (IG) found that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) deliberately doctored evidence it presented to the nation’s top spy court in order to gain authority to spy on a key Trump affiliate.
...
Horowitz referred Clinesmith to DOJ authorities for criminal prosecution. Spanning more than 476 pages, the report cited countless examples of corruption and deceit committed by employees throughout the FBI and Department of Justice related to the Trump-Russia probe, confirming that the investigation against Trump was unusually aggressive, politically tainted, and bore no fruit

FoxNews said:
Horowitz released his report Monday saying his investigators found no intentional misconduct or political bias surrounding efforts to launch that 2016 probe and to seek a highly controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the early months of the investigation. Still, it found that there were "significant concerns with how certain aspects of the investigation were conducted and supervised."

Yeah, why do we need three threads for the IG report? Two of them are even made by the same person.
Perhaps because it's an important and multi-faceted matter ... dominating political coverage for several years now.

One wonders just why those who are so gung-ho for impeachment now object to discussion of the rampant FBI abuse of power which undergirded the impeachment effort for nearly three years.

There is already a thread on this topic.
No there's not. No offense intended, SummerMadness, but your thread is about the IG not finding blatant political bias admitted to by those he interviewed within the FBI.

This thread is about a CRIMINAL REFERRAL which was made in that same IG report.

Look at it this way. The IG report covered at least three years of FBI activity. A lot of stuff happened in that time ... more than can be done justice in a single thread. Not everyone is interested in all aspects of the report. I doubt that you and I are even interested in the same aspects, judging from the thread you started on one aspect of the report.

P.S. I just noticed that another thread, very similar to yours, SummerMadness, dealing with the IG report was opened by a prominent member of the staff just prior to my making this post.
