Trump says he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize
President Trump told reporters at the United Nations Monday that while he was deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize, he didn’t expect to be awarded one.

“I think I’m going to get a Nobel Prize for a lot of things, if they gave it out fairly, which they don’t,” Trump said following a bilateral meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

I don't understand how a POTUS who has the largest defense budget in the world, has had troops on the ground in the Middle East throughout his administration, scraps a nuclear treaty with Iran, and is contemplating sending troops to Saudi Arabia can even entertain the fantasy that he deserves a Peace Prize. He is a legend in his own mind.

What a sense of entitlement :sigh:
I see him more like the little kids that each one gets a trophy so that no one feels bad. He wants his trophy because Obama got one. It's been two full years and nothing....so now he is reminding everyone to nominate him because he should get one because well, Obama did.

Obama got it for simply not being George Bush, though he had just been sworn in.
uhmmm...he actually got it over a year and a half into his first administration. So not really when he'd "just been sworn in.". :)
tulc(just thought that should be pointed out)

And how about the magazine "Person of the Year" award?
he actually got it over a year and a half into his first administration.
And what did Barack Obama get it for? Even if I would not vote for Barack, I was impressed with how he seemed to handle people criticizing him and yelling at him during meetings > one time a guy yelled something at him while he was speaking, and he said something like, "Isn't it great that we are in this nation, where you are free to say that here!" So, he showed some class that not all big-name people have. Such a manner could be considered for evaluating a Nobel Peace Prize candidate, I would say.

I suppose Donald would think that stopping war games near North Korea would help him. And he claims to have been overseeing the defeat of ISIS.

But . . . I can't think of anyone else . . . maybe because Donald has such a clever and effective strategy for keeping the attention to himself . . . so I might not be able to know about any other possible candidate :)

Tulc . . . by the way > you have helped to keep my attention to Donald. Are you working for him, by chance ? ? lololololol

Is there anyone else??

He hasn't even had peace in his own administration.

There are 301 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2019 out of which 223 are individuals and 78 are organizations.
