Would Biden be the easiest or the hardest for Trump to beat?

Not sure, Trump during the 2016 election was considered to become a fascist dictator if he would have won. I believe he is disliked but there is not that feeling of "neo-Hitler" that he once had.

The level of antipathy to Donald Trump depends on whom you ask. But that proves the sorry state of American politics. Whoever is considered the lesser evil is elected. Don't we deserve better than that?

I'd be interested to know whether liberals had the same feeling. I wasn't enthusiastic about Clinton, but I certainly didn't think of her as a lesser evil. I thought she'd be a decent president. I think people in CF may be in a unique situation. They saw Trump's problems, but cared so much about abortion and gays that it controlled their vote. I doubt that Democrats felt that way about Clinton, or that other parts of the Trump coalition felt that way about him. Indeed many conservative CF participants are reasonably happy with him.

So...the easiest for Trump to beat?
Hard to say, because AISI all the Dems have fatal flaws. The only way they can win 2020 is if the media, including Big Tech, succeed in doing it for them.

Trump v. Biden might have been an interesting race in 2016, when Biden still had reasonable command of his faculties. The two blue collar guys duking it out. But Biden bowed to royalty and missed his chance. I don't see him winning in 2020; I see him as more of a Mondale. But I don't see any of the Dems winning in 2020.

If that is true, Biden doesn't need ANY more. The Dems have always won PA, MI and WI

Well, I took jayem's point to be that Biden has the best chance at the Electoral College votes of states that Democrats most often win, regardless of who their candidate is. If that is correct, he doesn't need many more.

Unless we are is serious recession, Trump will easily defeat any of the left wing of the Democratic Party.
Trump has three winning issues: the economy, immigration and the judiciary. By nominating a progressive the Democrats add an additional set of issues [Trump will call them "socialist"; the label is irrelevant], most importantly including Medicare for All, Free College, No College Debt and decriminalization of illegal border crossings)

I won't say that Biden is the only Democrat that can win. If Biden's go down by the end of the year, before any votes, a Booker-Klobuchar ticket might have a chance against Trump, or even a ticket with Budigieg on it.

We ought to find a way to put money on this one. You not only keep rooting for Booker and Klobuchar, but I think that you actually feel both of them have a chance. They don't.

If there are enough moderates voting in the primaries and Biden is their choice, the far left will certainly support him as the Democrat nominee because these people want Trump out of office first and foremost.

They will hold their noses if necessary and support ANYONE who faces President Trump in the general election.

A bit of Presidential trivia, FWIW: In the entire history of the Presidency, there have been only 2 instances where 3 consecutive Presidents each served 2 full 4 years terms. The first was early---Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe were each in office for 8 years. The only other 3 were Bill Clinton, GW Bush, and Barack Obama. There has never been a time when 4 consecutive Presidents served for 8 years each. So if Donald Trump is re-elected, it will be history-making. But... historical precedents are made to be broken.
