There is something written about for two people to walk together they have to be like minded. Of course our thoughts are not His thoughts, but understanding His perspective helps us stay closer to Him. I was walking and talking with Him this morning and He wanted me to bring this up.
The scriptures are clear that the heavens and the earth are His. He made them, they are His, and so He is not just the God of Israel, but all things. Not everyone sits at His feet and listen to him, so all things are still being placed at His feet, but none of that changes the fact that heaven and earth are His.
He once told me, "Karl, always remember that the whole earth is mine; the whole earth, the whole heaven, the whole everything, but especially the whole earth." You can see the mistake we people make when Joshua (Jos 5:13,14) Asks, "Are you for us or for our adversaries?" only to be told "No;..." Joshua did not understand that God is God of the whole world. Yes, God was going to give Jericho into the hands of Israel, but it wasn't that He was for Israel and against Jericho because He was God of the whole world.
The point the Lord was making with me this morning was that we sometimes get mad and angry about different groups in this world, but we need to remember that they too were made by Him. He might give them into the hands of someone. He might remove them from this world. He might deliver them to hell, but that is not a reason for hate them, to celebrate over their demise, or whatever else we might do when we fail to remember the whole earth belongs to Him.
Understanding this will help you get into a deeper fellowship with the Lord, because it helps you walk and talk with Him if you know His perspective.
